OUR NEXT COMMUNITY MEAL is scheduled for Wednesday, October 28th @ 6pm. Volunteering here is a great opportunity to show Christ’s love for others in our community. This month we will be collecting warm jackets, sweaters, pullovers (esp. Men’s clothing). Please leave all donations at the Welcome Center by this Wednesday with a Community Meal note attached. If you would like to be a part of this wonderful ministry and help serve the meal, please call Sandy Henry at 419-947-6142 MARK YOUR CALENDARS for a fabulous upcoming concert to be held here at Gilead Friends Church! Natalie Grant will be here December 6th. Tickets will be $25 for Artist Circle and $15 for General Admission. Tickets will go on sale October 26th. THE GILEAD CHRISTIAN SCHOOL AUCTION is right around the corner. This is GCS’s biggest fundraiser event of the year and they need your help! If you would like to contribute items to the auction, they can be dropped off at the South Campus High School Office Monday-Friday from 8am to 3pm. If you have any questions, please call 419-946-5990. The Auction is scheduled for Saturday, November 7th. Silent auction begins at 4:30 and the Live is at 6pm Bring your friends & come do some of your Christmas shopping.

EAT TO READ! The Gilead Christian Grade School Library is holding a fundraiser to raise funds for new books and library supplies. All you have to do to help out is…EAT. Mark your calendars now...every Thursday in October is “Eat to Read” night at the Edison Depot. 20% of your dining total will be donated to the library fund. Tell your cashier that you’re there for Gilead Christian School’s Library. The Edison Depot is located at 552 W. High Street in Edison and their Thursday dining hours are 11am-8pm. If you have any questions, please call Brenda Thompson @ 419-947-7004.

DEVOTION BOOKLETS - The winter Jamaica Team is asking that you save any old devotion booklets that you no longer need. They are planning on taking them to the Jamaican people on their trip this winter. If you would like to donate used booklets, please drop them off at the Welcome Center with “Winter Jamaica Trip” written somewhere on them. If you have any questions, please call Martha Jividen at 419-864-3771.

WMF LADIES: The reading books for 2009-2010 are now located at the Welcome Center - left door. Please return books to the shelf designated - WMF Books. Please find the card for the book you are returning in the basket and put it in the pocket at the back of the book. You may sign out any book on the shelf. Please put card in basket. Thank you, Hazel Miller. THERE WILL BE A SHORT MEETING on Sunday, November 1st following service in the Fellowship Hall for all Members and Regular Attenders. The Stewardship Commission will be speaking about church finances.

OUR NEXT MEMBERSHIP CLASS is scheduled for Saturday, November 14th from 9am-1pm. If you are interested in attending, please call the church office at 419-946-1100 to get signed up.
