The FSEs shall be directly responsible for Procuring New Business, Providing Policy Servicing and related jobs from the bank branches / other outlets allotted to them. 2. SELECTION PROCEDURE Selection will be made on the basis of a written test if necessary, followed by an Interview of candidates who qualify in the written test. Written Test will be of Objective Type covering Test of Reasoning, Numerical Ability and General Knowledge. The date and venue of the written test, if to be conducted, will be communicated to the eligible candidates individually. 3. The selected candidates may be allotted anywhere during the period of engagement based on business requirements. 4. The selected candidate will have to undergo Theoretical Training, pass an examination conducted by the IRDA and obtain a license to procure Life Insurance Business. After procuring the license, if the candidate is found suitable for selection in accordance with the scheme, may be engaged as a Financial Services Executive on Contract basis subject to conditions framed by the Corporation. 5. A Financial Services Executive will be paid a fixed amount every month and incentives based on the yearly performance. 6. It is clarified that selection as a Financial Services Executive does not confer any right on the candidate to be appointed as a Permanent employee in the Corporation. 7. Interview: Candidates successful in the written test (if conducted) or eligible candidates will be called for an Interview. The Corporation reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for written test and/or interview commensurate with number of Financial Service Executives to be engaged and the decision of the Corporation in this regard shall be final. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Selected candidates will be engaged as Financial Services Executives subject to their being found medically fit by the Medical Examiner authorized by the LIC for the purpose. Note: 1. (g) Dealing with agitating Para Military forces personnel (h) IPKF personnel killed during the operations in Sri Lanka. NOTE: 1. Candidates still serving in defence and desirous of applying under ex-servicemen category should submit a certificate at the time of interview from the competent authority to the effect that they would be released / retired within one month from the date of offer of appointment. 2. Ex-servicemen candidates who have already secured employment under the Central Govt. in Group C & D will be permitted the benefit of age relaxation as prescribed for Ex-servicemen for securing another employment in a higher grade or cadre in Group C/D under the Central Govt. However, such candidates will not be eligible for the benefits of reservation for Exservicemen in Central Govt. jobs. E. RESERVATIONS FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES: Reservation is available to Persons with Disabilities under Section 33 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection to Rights and Full Participation) Act 1995. Hearing Impairment (HI): Hearing Impairment means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the conversational range of frequencies. Locomotor Disability or Cerebral palsy (OC): a) Locomotor Disability: Locomotor Disability means disability of the bones, joints or muscles leading to substantial restriction of the movement of the limbs or any form of cerebral palsy. b) Cerebral Palsy: Cerebral Palsy means a group of non-progressive conditions- of a person characterized by abnormal motor control posture resulting from brain insult or injuries occurring in the pre-natal, peri-natal or infant period of development. . All the cases of Orthopaedically Challenged persons would be covered under the category of locomotor disability or cerebral palsy Only such persons would tie eligible for reservation in services / posts who suffer from not less than 40 per cent of relevant disability. F) COMPUTER LITERACY - The basic knowledge in operating computer systems in Windows mode, knowledge of MS-Word/Office, Spread Sheets like MS-Excel and Internet & Email familiarity is an essential qualification which a candidate must either possess before joining the bank services or acquire the same within a period of 6 months of joining the bank, in case the candidate is selected for appointment. b) DESCRIPTIVE TEST It will consist of 4 questions out -of which the candidates are required to attempt 3 questions only. The test will be of 60 marks {i.e. 20 marks for each question). Time duration for the test will be 45 minutes. However, the test will be only qualifying and the marks obtained therein shall not be reckoned for preparing the merit list. The candidates shall have the option to answer the descriptive test either in English or Hindi or the Official Language of the State. Further, the descriptive paper will be evaluated to the extent of around 5 times the number of vacancies based on the merit ranking of the objective test. The detailed information regarding the Written Examination will be given in the booklet which will be sent to the candidates along with the call letter for the Written Examination. The candidates have to pass in each of the objective and descriptive test separately and there will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective Tests. Depending on the numbers of vacancies, only those candidates who rank sufficiently high in the Objective Test will be called for interview. Mere eligibility / pass in the written test shall not vest any right on a candidate for being called for Interview, Final selection will be on the basis of ranking accorded after adding the marks obtained in the Objective Tests and Interview. Wherever written examination is held, the blind candidates and candidates whose writing speed is affected by cerebral palsy can use own scribe at their cost during the written examination. In all such cases where a scribe is used, the following rules will apply: i) The candidate will have to arrange his own scribe at his own cost ii) The academic qualification of the scribe should be one grade lower than the stipulated eligibilitycriteria iii) The scribe can be from any academic stream iv) The scribe should possess 60% or less marks in his own academic stream, v) Both the candidate as well as the scribe will have to give a suitable undertaking, confirming that the scribe fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe as mentioned above. Further, in case it later transpires that he did not fulfill any of the laid down eligibility criteria or suppressed material facts, the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the result of the written test. vi) Such candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for extra time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination. This age relaxation is available to candidates having aforesaid experience of atleast 50 months of continuous or intermittent service for availing 7 years of relaxation and on pro-rata basis for less than 7 years of relaxation. For claiming age relaxation, experience certificate from the employer / organization is required to be produced wilh details of period of working, the fieid of experience and nature of products manufactured/services rendered by Ihe Organization. Such candidates will have to compete with other eligible candidates in Written Test / Interview etc. The decision of BHEL regarding authenticity/ genuineness of experience certificates and relevance of experience wil! be final and binding. Selection Process: All Eligible candidates wil! be invited for Written Test. The Written Test paper will be Objective Type in English, Hindi and Telugu. All eligible Ex-Servicemen candidates who possess the pass certificate of NTC and MAC (% of marks not mandatory) in the relevant trade from Armed Forces will be called for written test. The number of vacancies are provisional and liable to change. The posts are temporary but likely to continue indefinitely. Scale of pay : Rs. 5200-20200/- and Grade pay Rs. 2000/- plus allowances at Central Govt. rates. Age : Not exceeding 27 years as on closing date of application. Selection of Candidates : Only those candidates who come upto a specific standard following a preliminary screening of applications based on academic qualification, marks obtained in the examinations, knowledge of the-local language(s) of the state concerned and depending upon the number of vacancies will be called for a written test in General Knowledge/IQ (Objective Type) to be held at the respective Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau, thedate of written test which will be intimated through call letters. Those candidates who acquire a specific standard in the written test will be interviewed subsequently. No TA or other expenses will be admissible to the candidates for appearing in the test/interview except to unempbyed SC/ST candidates who will be reimbursed the fares as admissible under the Rules. No cash payment will be made at the time of test or interview. Liability of Service : Though initially the posts are to be filled up on regional basis, the candidates selected are liable to be posted anywhere in India. How to apply : Application on plain paper in the prescribed format (Appendix-1) may be sent by ordinary post to Assistant Director (Exam), Post Box No. - 4810, Post Office - Sarojini Nagar HPO, New Delhi-110023 indicating the Centre Code and Centre Name of the SIB from Table A at the place mentioned in the application form so as to reach on or before the closing date.
