GOOD CHARACTER QUALITIES (by Bill Stevenson) Note: I developed this list after I indexed a three volume anthology using A.C.E.'s 60 character traits and studying Bill Gothard's list of 36 character traits. Attentiveness: desire to listen and to be respectful. Availability: desire to be flexible and generous with time. Carefulness: desire to be accurate and efficient. Compassion: desire to be sensitive and loving. Consistency: desire to be orderly and to usually remember. Contentment: desire to be thankful and peaceful. Cooperation: desire to work with others. Creativity: desire for new ideas and to be resourceful. Decisiveness: desire to discern right and wrong according. Dependability: desire to be responsible and punctual. Endurance: desire to keep healthy and to be persevering. Faithfulness: desire to be loyal and responsible. Flexibility: desire to change without compromising standards. Forgiveness: desire to feel sorry and to be considerate. Generosity: desire to appropriately give anything when needed. Gentleness: desire to be considerate and patient. Hopefulness: desire to be thankful for potential and future possibilities. Joyfulness: desire to be happy and enthusiastic. Kindness: desire to be friendly and considerate. Meekness: desire to be humble and patient. Obedience: desire to be submissive and to learn from doing. Patience: desire to wait for situational changes to occur. Purposefulness: desire to do things which should have very good benefits or results. Respectfulness: desire to be thankful, attentive, and obedient to proper authorities. Righteousness: desire to do right whether being observed or not. Thankfulness: desire to be observant and appreciative. Thoroughness: desire to do everything necessary for success. Thriftiness: desire to use and purchase things properly. Tolerance: desire to understand others' viewpoints, not putting up with others' sins. Truthfulness: desire to be honest and sincere. Wisdom: desire to understand and apply knowledge in proper ways.
