Acknowledgement Hotel and catering field has become quiet popular these days. We often hear a lot about hotels, their popularity, their services and facilities they provided in relation with the guest, where various departments and staffs are always playing their important roles. Since we are the student of Hotel and catering, we should go through certain practical trainings. As we know, theoretical knowledge is not sufficient and until & unless there are no such practical, no one can specialize in any fields. “Hotel Le Meridian” was chosen for our industrial training. The purpose of our training was to achieve hotel knowledge, experience & skill, so that the students can choose their specific interested field in the future to develop career. The program was therefore, designed for 4 month (7 may - 26Aug 2007). By the time being we were there, we’ve had some good experience as well as bad, too. But more…we learned a lot about Hotel features and operation procedures, got chance to see something new about Hotels, the relation with the guest, food and beverages, cost and expenses and different services. We had to go through 8 departments including; 1. Front office 2. Kitchen 3. Banquet 4. House Keeping 5. Laundry 6. Conservatory (F & B Service Department) 7. One on One (F & B Service Department) 8. Al Nafourah (F & B Service Department) Our so called Industrial Internship (7 may 2000- 26Aug 2007) finally met to the end on 27th Aug and we’d been given a certificate. Thanks to “The Hotel Le Meridian” for supporting us and the most especially to Mr. Steven Fernandez (The head of Hotel and Catering Management) for arraigning our training.
