DEAN CAMPAIGN REPORTS MORE THAN $500K IN 2Q Total contributions closing in on $1 million NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Candidate for Mayor Karl Dean will file a financial disclosure today showing about $523,000 in campaign contributions during the second quarter and almost $850,000 raised to date. Total campaign contributions include $470,000 from supporters, nearly $200,000 of which was raised in the second quarter, and $375,000 from Dean. “We raised more this quarter than in any other financial period, which goes to show the momentum behind our campaign,” Dean said. “I haven’t spent my career as a politician building name recognition. I’m doing what’s needed to run a successful campaign. I’m in this to win.” In the six months Dean has been in the race for Mayor he has received contributions from over 900 individuals from all parts of Davidson County. ###
