The Cook Political Report ranks this race “Leans Republican.” The District New Hampshire’s 2nd District runs along the western half of the state from Massachusetts to Canada. It includes cities like Nashua and Concord in the south and mountainous rural areas in the north. In 2004, John Kerry defeated Bush in all but one of the district’s six counties. About Paul Hodes Hodes is a former Assistant Attorney General and Special Prosecutor. He is also active in arts education for children.
