Zigbee Based Energy Meter Reading

Zigbee based Energy meter reading This project aims at a fast alternative to the traditional energy meter reading, by manually examining the unit reading from the energy meter interface. The traditional method of accessing the energy usage is time consuming. This project remedies the problem. In this, there are two zigbee modules implemented, one in the meter and the other with the person assigned to take the reading. Once the receiver module reaches in the range of the transmitter module embedded in the meter, the meter automatically sends the current reading to the receiver, which will be displayed in the receiver interface. This greatly reduces the time and effort needed for the whole process when done manually.
