Action Plans
Strategic conversations are difficult to keep on track. We can use workshop exercises to make sure that we are focusing our conversations on the critical components of our strategy: defining clear strategic outcomes; identifying partners who are aligned with this outcome; creating clear initiative (or project) plans; makiing commitments in an action plan; and defining a process for continuous revision and refinement. We compile these workshop exercises into a document called a Strategic Doing Pack
Launch What will we do together?
I. Our Strategic Outcome II. Our initiatives to achieve the outcome III. Our metrics to measure progress toward our outcome IV. Our next steps to implement our initiatives V. Our process to stay connected and revise our strategy
Launching and Revising a Strategic Action Plan for Collaborations By following the disciplines of Strategic Doing we generate a strategic action plan...Our first version (very rough) is an alpha plan, Our next plan is more complete (a beta plan). When we are ready to distribute our strategic action plan more widely, we launch with Version 1.0. Then comes versions 1.1; 1.2; 1.3 and so on...
