Ingenious interior space Feel at home in your i30. Along with your USB, iPod® or other MP3 player, there are also over 20 dedicated storage areas for sunglasses, maps and cups. The ingenious interior is designed to maximise freedom, flexibility and comfort. An elevated seating position provides easy entry and exit along with an enhanced view of the road whilst driving, and rear passengers benefi t from an abundance of leg room. The long wheelbase delivers more interior space with ample leg, hip and shoulder room, while 60 / 40 rear folding seats provide load versatility. Settle into the orthopaedically designed and fully adjustable driver’s seat, with lumbar support (SLX and SR). Everyone can find the driving position that’s right for them. Power + dynamics Suspension perfected for Australian driving conditions Inspired chassis design with suspension and steering tuned for Australian conditions. Plus a choice of engines combine to deliver refined responsiveness and sporty exhilaration. Intelligent technology MacPherson strut front suspension and a sophisticated multi-link rear suspension have been fitted to perfectly complement i30’s high design rigidity, while ventilated 280 mm front and solid 262 mm rear discs with 4-channel Anti-skid Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) mean road handling is matched to the i30’s dynamic appearance.

The 2.0 DOHC engine produces 105 kW of power @ 6000 rpm for optimum performance and fuel efficiency. Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) ensures power and economy are perfectly matched, and fuel consumption of 7.2 litres* (manual) per 100 kms makes it the ideal choice for spirited, yet conscientious driving.

The 1.6 Common Rail Direct injected (CRDi) turbo Diesel engine features a Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT) to minimise turbo lag and increase efficiency at higher engine speeds for smooth delivery of power. The intercooled CRDi engine produces 255 Nm of torque for effortless driving with an astonishing fuel economy of 4.7 litres* (manual) per 100 kms.

An ergonomically positioned gate shift also allows more precise control and smoother mode selection. ESP

Avoid Active safety features in i30 help you avoid trouble and stay in control. The combination of Anti-skid Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) help you avoid wheel lock and maintain control in emergency braking situations. EBD works with ABS to deliver the maximum braking effect to the wheels that need it, regardless of how the vehicle is loaded. Bosch Electronic Stability Program (ESP ®) with Traction Control System (TCS)* helps automatically compensate for over / under-steer to stabilise the vehicle and helps prevent skidding. In the event of wheel spin caused by over-acceleration, particularly on slippery surfaces, TCS momentarily applies the brakes on the spinning wheel until it regains traction with the road. The driver and front passenger are also alerted by a seat belt reminder system. *Standard on SR, optional on SX and SLX Protectz enhanced safety packs

Protect Passive safety features help protect occupants and are incorporated into a rigid, impact-absorbing occupant shell for maximum protection and include: • Up to six airbags (dual front SRS airbags as standard) • Active ‘anti-whiplash’ front head restraints • Seatbelt pretensioners, load limiters & height adjustable upper mounts on front seats

HALO – Your Guardian Angel With the introduction of the Hyundai Active Locking Operation (HALO), your i30 is even more of a safe haven. HALO is programmed to automatically lock all the doors when the vehicle reaches 40 km / h. This prevents unwanted intrusion when the vehicle is stationary. The driver and front passenger can still exit as normal and all doors can be unlocked with a press of a button. In the event of a collision, the central locking will automatically unlock all the doors.
