Hidden Mysteries This album captures the awe and majesty of some of the world's most mysterious and mystical places, conjuring suggestions of deep forests and sun-drenched ancient landscapes. The titles of the tracks are merely suggestions. I wanted to capture effect rather than create a tonal representation of each location. The music is more melodic and romantic in style than the meditational album “Haunted Dreams”, but the instrumentation is very similar. Orchestral instruments are featured (particularly strings, oboe and bassoon) and fused with electronic pads to create an acousticelectronic mix that strengthens the descriptive power of the music. The album consists of 16 tracks. The length of each track varies from around 5 to nine minutes, making the album last about 1 hour 40 minutes. © 2009 by Michael Davies
