Haunted Dreams This is my first new age album, based on musical ideas and program concepts I had back in the 1970s. The album depicts a night of dreams from the moment we fall asleep to waking. We are taken on a journey through many dreams; sometimes influenced by the night sky as we find ourselves briefly half awake, before continuing our incredible and evocative tone-journey. Most tracks have a “broad-landscape” drone as a basis with flowing lyrical melodic lines. The mood and flavour of the music is; dreamy, peaceful, evocative, gentle, pensive, reflective. lyrical, soulful, magical, otherworldly and celestial. Electronic instruments predominate, mostly gentle pads and drones, but classical orchestral instruments such as clarinet, oboe and strings are well represented. The album consists of 15 tracks. The length of each track varies from around 5 to nine minutes, making the album last about 1 hour 40 minutes. © 2009 by Michael Davies
