Print a File Print an Encapsulated Postscript File to a Desktop Printer

1. Drag the EPS (Encapsulated Postscript) file to the desktop printer icon. The file will print.
1. Drag the EPS (Encapsulated Postscript) file to the desktop printer icon. An error message will show onscreen: “This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in My Computer by clicking View and then clicking Options.” Click OK. 2. Double-click on My Computer. 3. From the View menu select “Options...”. 4. Select File Types tab. 5. Click New Type... . 6. In the “Description of Type” box, type “EPS File”. In the “Associated extension” box, type “.EPS”. Click New. 7. In the “Action” box, type “open”. Click in the “Application used to perform action” box. Click Browse... . 8. Locate an application that can read EPS files.† In this case, Adobe Photoshop was selected. Click Open. 9. Click OK. 10. Click Close. 11. Click Close. 12. Drag the EPS file to the desktop printer icon. Despite the fact that the file has been correctly associated, an error message will show onscreen: “This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in My Computer by clicking View and then clicking Options.” Click OK. 13. Double-click the EPS file icon to launch Photoshop. 14. From the Photoshop File menu, select “Print”. 15. Click OK. The file will print.
