WHY YOU SHOULD STOP EATING JUNK FOOD Eating healthy and living healthy is one of the essential requirements for a long life. Unfortunately, today's world has adapted to a food consumption system that has several adverse health effects. Changes in lifestyle have forced us to put aside the thought that what we are eating is good and we are only doing it as a requirement of our feeding routine so much that one has so little time to think that what we eat is the right thing. Globalization and urbanization have greatly affected eating habits and have forced many people to eat fast, high-calorie foods, popularly known as "junk food". Research on the possible health risks of eating such high-calorie foods has given an idea to avoid them, but unfortunately the measures taken are not as effective as they should be. This global problem of consuming junk food on a large scale and its impact on health requires an emphasis and education for health that can greatly contribute to their limited consumption and to the change to healthy eating habits for a better life. Junk food simply means an empty calorie food that provides little or no nutrient such as vitamins, minerals or amino acids, and fiber. This food does not contain the nutrients that our body needs to stay healthy on the contrary it can ruin all the organs of your body. Therefore, these foods that have a low nutritional value are considered unhealthy and can be called junk foods. "Junk food" is an informal term that applies to some foods that are considered to have little or no nutritional value, but that also have ingredients that are considered unhealthy when eaten on a regular basis of which highlights are sweets, goodies , chiclets, desserts, fried, carbonated drinks, empanadas, hamburgers, sandwiches, pizzas, croissants, among others. What makes these foods are called "Junk" is that it contains high levels of refined sugar, white flour, trans fats and polyunsaturated fats, salt and numerous food additives; At the same time, it lacks proteins, vitamins, essential minerals, fiber, among other healthy attributes. On the contrary, junk food is easy to carry, buy and consume since it is cheap and ready in a short time. In general, junk food is given a very attractive aspect by adding additives and colors to improve the flavor, the texture to increase the shelf life, but what causes this is that more and more diseases such as diabetes develop and even Cancer. From the above we must take into account that it depends on us the proper functioning of our body and this is reflected in healthy eating habits.
