VOLUNTEER RECEPTIONIST/WELCOMER JOB DESCRIPTION 1.
To receive and welcome all who use or visit Farthing House Counselling Centre, including making tea and coffee if requested. This may occasionally require the looking after of small children while their parent is having counselling.
2.
To take telephone calls and to be able to deal sensitively and efficiently with all calls.
3.
To check counselling rooms are fully prepared for clients with fresh jugs of water, clean drinking glasses and supply of paper tissues.
4.
To make a minimum commitment of 3 hours per week in order to ensure an efficient rota system.

Where relevant, to agree to ongoing training produced by Farthing House. Volunteers will be responsible in the first instance to the Manager of Farthing House Counselling Centre who will provide support and supervision.

Ability to deal sensitively with people who are asking for help or may be distressed.
