Third Grade Newsletter

•April Reading Log: Students should read for at least 20 minutes on 18 days of the month. They should also answer one question in complete sentences on the back of the log. For each day that the reading log is late, 10 points will be subtracted from the overall grade. Reading logs are due at the end of each month. March reading log will be due on Tuesday, April 30th. • Biography Book Report and presentation due Tuesday April, 9th. Students should bring in their essay, portrait, and should be dressed as the person they researched. • Thursday, April 4th is our Field Trip to the Center for Puppetry Arts! Please be sure you have signed your child’s permission slip and paid the $25 trip cost before April 1st! On Thursday, each student will need to bring a lunch from home with a water bottle, since we will be eating at the facility. • NO SCHOOL Thursday, April 18th for Spring Parent Teacher Conferences - be on the look out for the link to sign up! •Third-Topia: If you would like to donate any items to our Class Store for behavior incentives, please send them in with your child! We would love if any parents would be interested in donating a basketball, bouncy ball, or anything your child is interested in buying (with fake “class” money). •Multiplication Fluency Test Practice- Resources to help your students practice for each of the multiplication facts: https://quizlet.com/class/7662089/ and https:// www.mathplayground.com/ASB_MeteorMultiplication.html •Renweb: Please keep up with your child’s grade percentages and progress on Renweb.

Reminders • Please check your child’s Daily Folder and Agenda each day after school. The agenda contains important information regarding assessments, assignments and projects. It also contains assignments from the day that may need to be completed as homework. • Please try to remind your student to bring a snack each day. We are letting them know it is their responsibility to make sure they pack them. • Chapel is every Tuesday morning. Please have your child wear the chapel uniform and proper accessories (ties and cross-ties).
