1st Grade Weekly News
Memory Treasures Due Wednesday#19 Psalm 37:5 Due Friday4th Commandment “Honor your father and mother, that it may go well with you
and that you may enjoy long life on the earth..”
Remember!! Every Night Check: 1. Student Planner and initial in box. 2. Take-Home Folder: If the paper has a “finish, fix, or homework” at the top, please have your child finish or fix it and return the paper the next day in their folder.
Week of September 21, 2009 Keeping Our Children Safe Our first field trip is in October, if you have not taken this class, you will not be able to accompany the field trip. Please attend the class so you can join us! The times this class is offered are listed on Principal Luehring’s blog: apostlesprincipal.blogspot.com. Even if you took this class last year, you MUST take it again this year. Please do not consider this a burden. At Apostles we want to make sure our children are kept safe.
Drop-in Parents Night is an opportunity for you to come in the classroom and see what is going on. Please let me know if you would like to schedule a time to meet with me. It doesn’t have to be on Sept 29.
Did you enjoy seeing your child come home last Friday with finger paint on their clothes? Sorry, I always forget to ask for a paint shirt. Next time, we won’t be working with washable paint– please bring in a paint shirt to store in their cubby.
Friday– NOON Dismissal/Teacher Collaboration Friday we will dismiss at 12:00. All children not picked-up promptly at 12:05 will go to Homeroom. We still have lunch at our usual time of 11:30– pack your child a lunch if they are staying in Homeroom or pack them a lunch if you want them to eat before you pick them up.
