1st Grade Weekly News
Memory Treasures Due Wednesday#13 Isaiah 43:11 Due Friday3rd Commandment “Remember the Sabbath Day by keeping it holy.”
Remember!! Every Night Check: 1. Student Planner and initial in box. 2. Take-Home Folder: If the paper has a “finish, fix, or homework” at the top, please have your child finish or fix it and return the paper the next day in their folder.
Week of September 14, 2009 Keeping Our Children Safe Our first field trip is in October, if you have not taken this class, you will not be able to accompany the field trip. Please attend the class so you can join us! The times this class is offered are listed on Principal Luehring’s blog: apostlesprincipal.blogspot.com. Even if you took this class last year, you MUST take it again this year. Please do not consider this a burden. At Apostles we want to make sure our children are kept safe.
Sunday Singing Thank you for making sure your child was present to sing this last Sunday. It’s a special opportunity for these younger children to be the messengers of God’s Word and glorify Him through song.
Drop-in Parents Night is an opportunity for you to come in the classroom and see what is going on. Please let me know if you would like to schedule a time to meet with me. It doesn’t have to be on Sept 29 evening.
School Picture Day Wednesday is the day for school pictures. Our scheduled time is before recess. Everyone will have the opportunity to change if you want them to, please bring the clothes though. Please return the picture order form and please let me know if you are not ordering pictures. I don’t want you to miss-out unintentionally- even if you are not ordering pictures. Thanks!
