1. Failure Analysis Dashboard Purpose: The ‘Failure Analysis’ Dashboard identifies the most important failure events in the drive and detects the root cause of those events It classifies the failure by call-type & protocol and also pegs the events to the top 10 affected sectors
Overview: Failure Analysis Dashboard
6/16/2017 Page 3
Failure Analysis Dashboard The ‘Failure Analysis Dashboard’ is split into 2 Analysis sections: Pre-Defined Analysis Tabs: Under this category, we have identified all the key RF Level failure events (based out of RRC signaling), that would occur in the network and have classified them into 3 Orange Colored Tabs – Accessibility, Retainability And Mobility
User-Defined Analysis Tabs: Under this category, we let the user configure their own analysis and save it into Blue Colored ‘User Defined Tabs’. After creating their Tabs, they can SAVE IT, USE IT for future analysis and SHARE IT with other Windcatcher Users

Failure Analysis Dashboard
Click on ‘Default Events’ to see the List of events that is evaluated by the tab
Pre-Defined Analysis Tabs
Accessibility: Failures encountered when the UE is accessing the network Eg: RRC Connection setup Failures, SIP Setup Failures, CS Call Blocked, etc
Mobility: Failures encountered when UE is performing handover Eg: LTE CSFB Failures, LTE intra/Inter Handover failures, SRVCC Failures, UMTS Handover failures, Hard/Soft handover Failures, etc
Retainability: Failures encountered when the UE has a call drop or an improper release Eg: RRC Connection Drops, SIP Session Failures, UMTS Call Drop, CDMA Drop Call, etc
Identifies the root cause, event and also pegs to the sector
Pre-Defined Analysis Tabs

Failure Analysis Dashboard User-Defined Analysis Tabs
User can perform their own analysis by creating User Defined Tabs and drag-n-drop events from the parameter tree to tab Windcatcher would locate the events on map and will also peg the event to the sector The Analysis tabs created by the user will be saved to the dashboard and will be available across datasets. User can share their analysis tabs with other users by exporting settings from Home Settings Export Settings
Click on Configure Button to modify events that were added to the tab
User-Defined Analysis Tabs

Failure Analysis Dashboard Summary Tab Summary Tab provides a complete summary of all the key issues in the drive, by Device, Protocol and Call type Summary of The information from the User-Defined Predefined Analysis Tabs gets updated to the Summary automatically

Failure Analysis Dashboard Analysis Scenarios I have performed the following analysis using the ‘Failure Analysis Dashboard’ In some cases, I have used the ‘Pre-Defined Tabs’ and in some cases I have created ‘User-Defined Tabs’ on the fly
1.
GSM/GPRS Failure Analysis
2.
UMTS Failure Analysis
3.
Nemo OTT Failure Analysis
4.
Nemo Drop Call Analysis
*’Pre-Defined Tabs’ are identified by ‘Orange Icons’ *’User-Defined Tabs’ are identified by ‘Blue Icons’
Analysis Scenarios

Analysis Scenarios 1. GSM/GPRS Analysis
1.
The 4 events shown in the screenshot, were drag-ndropped from parameter tree to a new ‘user defined tab’
2.
The name of the tab was entered as ‘GSM/GPRS Analysis’
3.
Once the events are selected, I clicked ‘Save’
1.
The user can now see the distribution of events in the pie chart and also the sectors where these failures occurred
2.
The USER DEFINED TAB will be stored to windcatcher

Analysis Scenario GSM/GPRS Analysis – The analysis performed by the user is now available as a ‘Summary’ – And can also be exported to excel
Analysis Scenarios

Analysis Scenarios 2. UMTS Failure Analysis The UMTS Retainability Issues found in this drive includes, failures due to: 1. Strong Monitored Pilot 2. Poor Coverage 3. Missing Neighbor 4. Poor Pilot Dominance 5. WCDMA Abnormal Call End
Analysis Scenarios

Analysis Scenarios 3. Nemo OTT Analysis The following events were dragged and dropped from the parameter tree to the ‘User Defined Tab’ : MY OTT ANALYSIS -
Nemo Data Task HTTP Aborted Nemo Data Task Facebook Connect Fail Nemo Data Task Youtube Fail Nemo Data Task Youtube Dropped Nemo Data Task Youtube Aborted
After I have configured ‘MY OTT ANALYSIS’ tab, I click on ‘Save’
