All of us will die and no one can tell when or where they will die. For some if they reach their goal they are happy to die but some don’t want to die. Learning Expectations: My expectation here in this chapter is to learn how the internet works in business and in our industry. Review: I think chapter 1 is more or less an overview of what is to come, because of the Internet, you, the customer, now have a voice, the ability to make yourself heard to others over the din of advertising and other stilted business communication. You know what business-speak sounds like, you know what people sound like, and you know what you prefer and who you believe. Just as the customer is empowered, the worker is precisely because of the knowledge that a network allows to flow. These conversations threaten to completely overthrow business as we know it, and their merger will transform the market. The heart of what's actually going with this whole "Internet Revolution" people talking to people. And I think that particular message has gotten lost in the haze of convenience, price-difference and all the other media hyped ideas about what's going on with the business side of the Internet. What the authors of the book argue is that what's actually happening, in many ways, is that we are ripping down the artificial walls between producers and sellers. It demonstrates how the Internet is bringing people back into the commercial process. Technology has frequently been perceived as dehumanizing our world. That's why it is especially ironic that it took a technological revolution in communication to bring back the human side of commerce. We are seeing a sea change where commerce is moving from a seller's market to a buyer's market. These putative Four Horsemen of the Internet Apocalypse that will lay flat the walls of the Old Economy declare that business no longer controls the marketplace. The Internet is enabling conversations among human beings that were simply not possible in the era of mass media. Hierarchies rank people and restrict information flow because information access is a function of rank. Hyperlinks democratize information flow, nullifying the main offensive weapon that hierarchies depend on to remain hierarchies. Most leaders in Old Economy hierarchies see the Internet as just a new product distribution channel.
What I have learned: I learn that many people have dream that they want to achieve and vision in their own. But in our industry you need to compete each and everyone in order to get your dream because in business if you are lazy you cannot make your dream come true. Review: In this chapter you don’t need to spend a lot of money to communicate with others or go to their place and make a chat. Nowadays you can use web or internet right in your house and communicate to others, also in internet you can learn many things by just reading and searching for the word that you do not know. It helps a lot to us because it saves time and money. Communicating to others is very important because you can know their thoughts and their feelings. Don’t look technicalities from behind. It is not as complicated as you think it is. You just need to understand it from the simplest to the most complicated aspect. Learning Expectations: My expectation here in this chapter is how to be an educated human being in the business world. And be a professional character in the industry. Review: Even after hearing about markets as conversations for several hours to a group, some people still don't get it. The first few paragraphs basically repeat what has already been stated: markets stopped being conversations around the time mass production and mass marketing took over. What replaced this conversation was a one-way message, delivered from business to consumers. Unfortunately, no one really wants to listen to an overblown hype machine. The entire role of marketing is to make us want what we are supposed to want, but don't really want. This anti-conversation, however, is slowly but surely being pushed back by the rich tones of conversation on the Web. The knowledge contained in these conversations increases exponentially as more and more people join the party. Attempts to dominate this conversation with targeted message it likes for example push technology, have failed utterly. No one wants another television. In point of fact, conversation built the Web, manifested in the open source movement. Apache, Linux and the rest are all products of conversations. These are living examples of what can be accomplished when the market talks. The only way for marketing to survive is to work with the conversation, to give it what it wants.
What I have learned: I’ve learned in this chapter is marketing sees the consumer as the enemy. The conversation is waiting for them to realize what's happening. All you have to do is talk honestly, and people will listen and talk back.

It means they begin to understand each other again; because they know what they talking about. Learning Expectations: My expectation here in this chapter is how to analyze the organization and give them an importance on how they can maximize the people working in their organization. Review: In a hyperlinked organization, people don't need the fancy office building or the top-down bureaucracy; they just want to be able to work with those people that best let them get a job done. Employees resources need no longer be bound by lines on an organizational chart. People go to who they need to get what they need. Centralized control is replaced by a web of people working with whoever they need. Groups form and collapse on an ad-hoc basis to meet the demands of the moment. All of the knowledge generated is managed through people telling each other story. We already have tons of information; what we need is more knowledge, more understanding. Human communication generates this understanding. Because of all of this communication, and lack of hierarchy, it is inevitable that your customers will join in. Business intranets will expand to include customers along with employees. Working together to make sure everyone gets what he needs.
What I have learned: I’ve learned in this chapter is business as a message is dead, business as a conversation is beginning. They only make cycle in business and repeating again and again. You need to do your best to able to beaten them and by pass them.

It’s like reading a poem, wherein, you first need to read between the lines before you understand completely its real meaning. It is also open for such interpretations. Learning Expectations: My expectation here in this chapter is to communicate others and make you enthusiasm of tone, and extremely timely human centric anti impersonal business practices. Review: It all about the points made so far, and then launches into a treatise on the future of the Web. Unfortunately, we're asking the wrong questions. We don't need to ask questions out of fear of the Web, but out of our desire to converse. The conversation we have will shape the Web the way it needs to be. There's no easy way to do this, just a journey into the unknown. No one can escape their own destiny, you need to face it and be challenge on what can happen to you because it can help you to improve and be greater person. Being scared to take a risk is a wrong move because you cannot gain an experience if you only do your routine as always, you should try different stuff and explore to have a wider knowledge.
What I have learned: I’ve learned in this chapter is you should find yourself to have peace on your mind, giving time on your self is very healthy because it can gives positive strength that you can use to do things. Also you should be brave facing your weaknesses and giving you a break to think freely.

Review:
It concludes the Manifesto by stating that the revolution has already begun, and it's too far gone to stop. What we must do now is break our old habits, and start behaving in a new way. One great thought on this chapter is that the web makes it possible for everyone to contribute or participate in the great conversation, as such the web remain full of possibilities can be use as references. We only touched the tip of the mountain when it comes to unlocking the knowledge about our surroundings. When they point out that in the aggregate, the combined preferences, insights, and purchasing power of all Web denizens is vastly more valuable and relevant to business decisions about production, quality, and services than any push marketing hype or engineering presumptions about what people might need. It is also a way of thinking that can lead businesses toward success in the unstructured environments of the Internet. It's so tempting to keep an old, patched machine going even when everyone knows it needs to be replaced. Just remember, I am not a company, I am a human being.
What I have learned: I learned that anything new to those who've believed in the power of the Internet from the first time they launched a web browser or read a newsgroup. But they've enumerated those beliefs in a very compelling and awe-inspiring volume of the truths of operating in the Internet Economy. Learning Expectations: My Learning Expectation here is that retailing which is responsible for matching the individual demands of the consumer with vast quantities of supplies produced by a huge range of manufacturers, had made a significant contribution to the economic prosperity that we enjoy so much.
Review:
Basically Retailing is a distribution channel function where one organization buys products from supplying firms or manufactures the product themselves, and then sells these directly to consumers. A retailer is a reseller for example obtains product from one party in order to sell to another, from which a consumer purchases products. In the majority of retail situations, the organization from which a consumer makes purchases is a reseller of products obtained from others and not the product manufacturer. But as we discussed in the Distribution Decisions Tutorial, some manufacturers also operate their own retail outlets in a corporate channel arrangement. While consumers are the retailer’s buyers, a consumer does not always buy from retailers. On the other hand, nations that have failed to perform the critical role of retailing as it should be performed will ultimately have to adopt a strong retail sector to improve their populations’ well-being. The joy and excitement these new forms of retailing provided the citizens was amazing, which illustrates very well the value people of all cultures place on retailing that is responsive to their needs and wants.

Learning Expectations: My learning expectation is that the long tail is the best and strongest when it helps us understand what's happening to our culture. It shows, graphically, the difference between the mass culture we've had, and the folk culture we're bringing back. That's an achievement worth celebrating, and it's why the Long Tail can leave us feeling like cavemen looking at a map of the world for the first time.
Review: It is all about visualization of the demand for certain products as a power curve and he came up with a catchy phrase to go with his observation. Like most good ideas, the Long Tail attaches to your mind and gets stuck there. Everything you take in cult blogs, alternative music, and festival films starts looking like the Long Tail in action. But that's also the problem. The Long Tail theory is so catchy it can overgrow its useful boundaries. It matters most is where the price of carrying additional inventory approaches zero and where consumers have strong and heterogeneous preferences. When these two conditions are satisfied, a company can radically enlarge its inventory and make money raking in the niche demand. Statement of the Problem
The critical business process of Game Computer Trading Incorporated is their manual sales inventory system. The general problem of this business is there is lack of sales because it is manually done. The following are the specific problems that are happening in the said company:

Decision making is centralized to the owner
Another specific problem is that decision making is centralized to the owner. The owner has the only right to decide what is best for his company. Whenever there is urgent, the staffs still need to call the owner for his decision. This is hassle for the worker and to the owner. Having e-commerce will minimize the time that the owner needs to check the sales report.

The sales report is not reliable
Every week, the employee tracks all the selling transactions he made in a sales report and passes it to the owner. The problem with this is the employee might do error since no one double check it. Or he can put whatever he like in the sales report since the owner is not in the store. Thus, there is no evidence attached to the sales report. A staff can edit transactions made even though there is no actual transaction because it is manual. Also, cashier can get money from the drawer and he can edit the receipt which creates unreliability.

The sales report is unorganized because sometimes the employees make mistakes in writing down his transactions. Thus, he needs to cross it out through ball pen. The owner will have a hard time looking in that sales report since it is unorganized. Also, when the owner wants to review the sales report, it is hard for him to understand the transactions made because it is unorganized.

There might be discrepancies happening in the store The owner of the business is not present in the store because of his busy schedules. So, he gives his full responsibility and trust to his employees. The employees can also do whatever he wants in the store like not going to the store on time because no one will check him. The second root problem is lack of personnel to market their products. The said business admits to us that they don’t have marketing strategy because they don’t have personnel that will handle it. Thus, if there is no marketing strategy, people will not learn what they offered products and services.

Each of the company must have a good marketing strategy in order to promote their products and services to the people. In this company, we have seen that they don’t have much customers compare to other known stores. We believed that the reason for that is because they don’t have any good marketing strategy. No one knows that they are offering products and services that they are looking.

They don’t conduct benchmarking
This nature of business should also do some benchmarking to know if their competitor is earning more profit than them especially if their competitor is in the same area with them. The staffs of the company is not trained to do marketing
The owner of the business said to the team that the marketing strategy that they have is the staffs should always smile to the customers to show that they are ready to serve them. Also, the staff should have a skill in public relations with the customer so that they can persuade them to buy an item even though they don’t like it or need it. In that, the customer can easily decide to buy the products if the staff has a skill in communication.

The company does not have good management The owner does not manage well his staff and cashier because he is not present in the company. The group has seen that the staff and cashier are not friendly compare to other employee of the other company. They must smile in order for them to capture and attract many customers. The boundary of our study is limited within the sales department, mainly on the company’s sales inventory system. This is where the customers will purchase a product and pay it to the cashier. The study of our group focuses on checking and recording of the sales inventory system. The study also includes counting of sales every month, which is checked and recorded in their sales report by one person which passes to the owner of the business. From what we notice the business employs a lot of people for their size. Having 6 sales person in their store is a lot because they only have small place and from what the group thinks they only need 2-3 people in their store Since they are more on distribution than retailing. Based o what we observed the store doesn’t have a lot of walk in customers and the result is that their employees are not utilized fully by the business.

The propose system also wants the company to have a more simple yet effective and efficient sales and inventory system. Our e-commerce sales and inventory system aims to have a maximum of 2-3 person who will monitor, manage, and maintain it. All the activities that will be happening in the system is monitored by the owner. The job of having this kind of e-commerce system will give the owner less cost and more accuracy in their sales report and inventory level. The owner can also assure that this system is secured in the part of payment of the products.
