Fun at Watkins Manor

MONTHLY PUBLICATION

Memory Care has been under construction this past month! New sidewalk entrance at RMM.

Residents of the Watkins Manor along with volunteer Rosemary make oatmeal breads. This baking activity takes place monthly and this past week the group made monkey cookies and a rhubarb dessert. All are welcome to join in as this activity takes place the first Monday of the month @ 1pm.

Ernie helps clean up after the garden was planted.

Jane, LeeAnn and Ruben, Meta, and Nola enjoy a meal at the Beedles Restaurant in Centerville, WI.

May was a fun month for special meals as the Kentucky Derby Day was celebrated with residents and staff. The photo shows Eleanor Roach getting into the spirit on her selected horse! The resident who guessed the winner of the real derby was Wilma E. Thanks to the all especially Julie Decker and her dietary staff for making it an fun and memorable day!

~News and Notes~ Adith Miller & Roger Metz Manor

Watkins Manor annual family picnic will be held on Friday, June 20th. This year’s theme, “Under the Big Top” will be fun for residents and family members of all ages. The picnic will be held in the front of Watkins Manor from 4 - 7 p.m. Hope to see you there! Planting season has begun! Please let Nola know of certain flowers or vegetables you would like planted in the flowers beds and planters. Next Town Hall Meeting (formerly Resident Council) will be held on Wednesday, June 18th at 10:00 in the Great Hall. The agenda is located in the front lobby and we are asking for your suggestions. What would you like to talk about this month? Sign up on the sheet, or let Cheryl know and she will be sure to address it.

On Saturday, June 28th at 11:00 a.m. family and friends are invited to join us for a Backyard Campout. Lunch will be provided. We will grill hotdogs and roast S’mores over the fire. Bring a lawn chair to relax! Last month residents enjoyed a lunch outing to Godfather’s Pizza. You’re more than welcome to join us on our outings. We usually have room on the bus, or you can meet us there. Please call prior to the outing to assure there is room or that the outing has not been canceled. Thank you!
