The population

of elderly people has increased

in

the United States over the last 100 years due to more technology to help find cures for things and help more so with health problems.

A great deal of the elderly people

increase is due to the elderly people staying healthier longer, working longer, and be activate in life. Well the United States is a affluent nation compared to Haiti as a developing nation, there are sever differences.

The population in the United States is

303.824,640 to Haiti as 8,924,553, the population growth expected in the United States in 0.883% to Haiti at 70.17%. The population expect in the United States in 2015 is 325,723 compared to Haiti’s 9,751.

In 1950 eight years and

plus for the United states had one million men and one point five million women but in Haiti it was not even registered but in 1990 it was only in the thousands, that is a great difference for the two nations. The people in the United States consisted of 77.1% White, 12.9% Black, 4.2% Asian, 1.5% Amerindian and Alaskan Native, .3% Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islanders, and Others of 4%. Mulatoo and White.

Now in Haiti 95% are Black and 5% are In the United States they say the

Probability of not reaching 60 is 12.8 % but in Haiti it is the probability of not reaching 40 is 31.6%.

This is a

twenty year age difference between the two nations. Another factor of Life expectancy at birth for males is 75.29 years for the United States and 55.83 years for Haiti, a difference of 19.46 years. life expectancy at birth is

Then for women the

81.13 years in the United

States and only 59.35% years in Haiti, a difference of 21.78 years.

The total population life expectancy at birth

for the United States was 78.14 years compared to Haiti at 57.56 years, a difference of 20.58%.

By the facts provide

I would say by far the United States would have more elder people to survive in their environment then Haiti.

The

environment in the United States is just as bad may even worse then Haiti.

The United states has air pollution,

decertification, water pollution from runoff of pesticides and fertilizer, and limited natural fresh water in much of the Western part of the country.

Now in Haiti the

environment is disforestation due to clearing for agriculture for use for fuel, soil erosion, and inadequate supplies of potable water.

The health and population of a

affiliated nation is much better than a redeveloping nation. Dependency ratio means is an “age-population ratio of those typically not in the labor force (the dependent part) and those typically in the labor force (the productive part).”

Theorist think that conventional ways of thinking

will have to change about the dependency ration due to the fact that a lot of elder people are staying in the work force longer due to better health conditions and the fact that the economy will not allow them to retire.

Also a lot

of older people like to be more sociable or more activate in life at a later age.

To change things around to fit the

needs of the elder people now might change the future of the other elder people but not by much.

Some of them may

be staying at home longer or entering more adult day services.

It all depends on the circumstances for the

individual.

The baby boomers are keeping job longer and

taking away from all the new comers for the work force. All things will have to take time to adjust but just be patient.
