Difference between HEALTHY WORKPLACES and UNHEALTHY WORKPLACES

UNHEALTHY WORKPLACES

Introduction: People working on unhealthy workplaces were prone to diseases because of their environment. The working places were not well-ventilated, not well-lighted and, also, not well-conducive. The employer doesn’t have a fitness program for his employees, which is so important for them to be physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually healthy.

About Our Topic: We searched for unhealthy workplaces to know how it is differing from the healthy workplaces. The place was so different from the healthy one. We went to the vulcanizing shop, junk shop and photocopying center. You will see in the pictures that it was wellventilated and not well-conducive. It is not also well-lighted.

Conclusion: We have concluded that unhealthy workplaces were prone to diseases. We saw them healthy but deep within they’re not. They are prone to diseases because of the air that they were exhaling. We know that air, nowadays, were so polluted because of some vehicles and because of the garbage we threw everywhere and because of some factories that have chemicals.

Resolution: Vulcanizing Shop The workers should arrange the equipments in their proper places. Like the wheels of the cars, they should arrange it to its corresponding place. It should also be well-ventilated and well-lighted. Junk Shop They should arrange also the trash in their proper places. They should make/prepare shelves for every trash that can be recycled. For example, shelves for bottles and cans, shelves for steels and newspapers. Also shelves for the trash that can be a fertilizer for plants. Photocopying Center The center should be a well-ventilated place so that the costumers will feel comfortable. It should be well-lighted so that it will not irritate the eyes of the costumer and the people working there.

HEALTHY WORKPLACES

Introduction: Healthy workplaces are places that are wellventilated and well-lighted. The working environment should be conducive. The employees should be safe. There is a fitness program for the employees, like jogging and some exercises. It could also include health lectures for the employees.

About Our Topic: We went to different healthy workplaces like Mighty Odie (a shoe-maker place), dress shop (where gowns and barongs were made), purifying water (where the clean gallons were refilled by purified and distilled water), and we also visited the Municipal Hall of Lumban, Laguna. The places we visited were wellventilated and well-lighted. It was also a conducive place for the employees. Municipal Hall of Lumban, Laguna We interviewed one of the employees in the said municipal. He said that every morning they are having their exercise to enhance their health. Sometimes, they’re having their morning jogging to be fit and they do aerobic exercises to perspire. These fitness programs help them to be healthy and do their jobs easily.

Conclusion: We concluded that working in a healthy place makes the employees feel comfortable. They can do their work easily. We also conclude that having a fitness programs and health lectures makes the employees physically, mentally, socially, spiritually and emotionally healthy. If they are healthy, they can survive their daily activities; they can solve their problems on their jobs.
