Practical Task – Text We have looked at ways in which filmmakers use Text within the content of the film and as graphic elements. Taking one or two of the techniques or ideas you have seen, create your own short film that experiments with Text or displays understanding of one of the techniques. YOU MAY LIKE TO DEVELOP YOUR IDEA INTO YOUR PRACTICAL 2 MAIN PROJECT.

For example; Voiceover – You could use a voiceover to reflect on or make surreal an everyday scene or the nature of voiceover. Subtitles – You could use subtitles to fill in information or creatively so that they change shape and look in response to the behaviour of the content. Narration – You could create a short film that revolves around an extract from a book or poem Association - You could create a short film that experiments with our associations between words and images. Sound Bridge – You could use sounds from one scene/space to bridge over or between another scene/space.
