TUTO Serveur local pour mise à jour VN8000S How to make a local server for upgrading VN8000S Nous allons voir une méthode simple pour installer un petit serveur web en réseau local afin de mettre à jour notre démodulateur VN8000S. We go to see a simple method to install a small server web in local network to update our VN8000S.

Ce pas à pas s’adresse aux novices et n’a pas pour but de développer les nombreuses possibilités qu’offre le logiciel utilisé. This step by step is for newbie's and does not aim at developing all possibilities that offers by the software Pour ce tutorial, nous allons utiliser le soft ABYSS. For this tutorial, we are using the ABYSS software. Dans cet exemple, le téléchargement sera effectué sur le bureau et l’installation aussi. In this example, the downloading will be made on the desktop and the install also.

Une fois téléchargé, exécuter le fichier. After downloaded, execute the file

Accepter l’accord de licence (I Agree): Acknowledge the license:

Cliquer sur Next Next >

Sélectionnez le dossier d’installation (dans mon exemple, je reste sur le bureau) Select the directory to install (in my example, I stay on the desktop) Cliquer sur Install. Install

Sélectionner les mêmes options que sur cette image. Select the same option as image. Puis cliquer sur OK. And OK L’installation est fini,cliquer sur OUI pour lancer le serveur. Choose Yes

Pour mettre à jour votre VN8000S, il va vous falloir copier le firmware (133.bin dans mon exemple) dans le dossier de destination approprié. Cette destination se trouve dans le dossier htdocs de ABYSS (là ou vous l’avez installé, pour moi : C:\Documents and Settings\Administrateur\Bureau\Abyss Web Server\htdocs To update your VN8000S, copy the firmware (132s.bin in my example) in the htdocs directory.

Ensuite rendez vous dans le menu du VN8000S puis dans OPTION / Internet software Upgrade et entrez l’URL de votre machine ainsi que le nom du fichier firmware sous la forme : Go to VN8000s menu and select Option / Internet Software

PS : pour connaître l’IP de votre machine (ordinateur sur lequel est installé ABYSS), vous pouvez procéder comme expliqué ici : In Windows, how do I check my computer's IP address: (second link for english language)

Cliquez sur valider pour lancer la mise à jour. Click on validating to launch the update Voila la mise à jour devrait se faire sans encombre. Vous pouvez a présent désactiver le serveur ABYSS de votre machine en cliquant bouton droit de votre souris et en sélectionnant Exit et en répondant au message par l’affirmative. You can shutdown ABYSS Server of your PC by clicking right button of your mouse and by selecting.

Pour la prochaine mise à jour, vous n’aurez plus qu’à relancer ABYSS par son raccourci. For the next update, you will start again Abyss by its shortcut.
