Arizona’s Original Rock Band

www.tricusrocks.com

Tricus – Arizona’s original hard rock band, was formed in 2012 while writing and composing rock music with the style of the 70’s and 80’s era. Members Ken Lewis (vocals), George Contreras (guitar), Art Long (bass) and Norman Lund (drums), brings back the sound of rock and roll similar to Black Sabbath. With the release of their first CD, Fate & Destiny, Tricus sets the stage with a high energy, hard rocking show of original music not often heard on the radio today! Featured from Fate & Destiny, was their hit song HHH. This song was their first music video created from America’s first documented serial killer from the 1800’s, Dr. Holmes. Upcoming is a full length movie about Dr. Holmes featuring Leonardo DeCaprio and Nicholas Cage. Tricus has already had their hit song delivered to Leonardo’s company in hopes of being the movie soundtrack. In 2015, Tricus performed with some of their new music which set the crowds on fire! These hit songs are from their famous Sick As Fuck release, also being a music video favorite. These songs are titled, Time Marches On and Psychic Psycho. Tricus has been direct support and has shared the stage with bands such as Queensryche, Ace Frehley - KISS, Uli Jon Roth, Bumblefoot, Red Dragon Cartel featuring Jake E. Lee and Skid Row. They have performed at most venues in Arizona as well as in Hollywood at the famous Whisky A Go Go. Lightening Radio in Momence, IL named Tricus one of the Top 10 Indie bands in the world on Aug. 21, 2015

Born and raised in South Phoenix, liking a band like KISS was hard. George was fascinated by them and Ace Frehley became his hero and inspired him to play guitar. He began playing in 1998 when he walked into a small music store in Ahwatukee and asked if they gave guitar lessons. She by KISS was the first song George learned to play. After lots of practice, he eventually formed his own band called DINONICUS. He spent the next 10 years playing cover songs. In 2012 David Olivarez and George shared a vision that was TRICUS. They co founded Tricus and immediately went to work writing and composing their own music. They built their tone, honed their vocals and played their first show months later. In 2013 they released the first CD titled Fate & Destiny. The style of music they created was taken from the 1970's and 1980's and mixed with the sounds of today. They have a good beat, great hooks and melodies. Their CD is a masterpiece and by far one of George’s favorites of all time! George is endorsed by DBZ Guitars, also known as Diamond Guitars. He plays the Bird of Prey and Bolero models on stage with Tricus. Coldcock Whiskey is his favorite drink and it is appropriate that Tricus is endorsed by this fine company as well! Now, the bands tradition is to toast shots of Coldcock before every show!

Ken Lewis

From California to Arizona, and currently a recording artist and lead vocalist, lyricist and song writer, Ken has played a major role in how far the band has moved forward. He has contributed his lead vocals and song writing to various projects over the years. Ken grew up listening to rock and roll music and gained connections in the music scene that inspired him to set the stage in performance.

Bringing to the stage what the fans all crave, Ken’s role as Tricus vocalist is paving the way. His hard work and commitment with this wellknown Arizona band is what keeps pushing him further and further towards the perfection in his singing career.

Norman Lund Born in Chicago, and best know as Poor Norman, he began his drumming career at a very young age. His early involvement in the rock and roll scene is what earned him the title of being Arizona’s best heavy metal drummer. Committed to the band and pushing the boundaries at being the best, Norman continues the steady beat of keeping Tricus marching on.

Art Long Making his way from New Jersey to Arizona, Art brings with him the best bass talent Arizona has ever seen. Art knows how to fulfill what any band needs. With his role in the group, it makes the band complete. Art is striving for success in the music industry and believes as long as he is having a good time and loads of fun while doing it, Tricus will become a famous household name.

There was a lot of speculation in the crowd about the frontman controversy — but LaTorre easily stood on his own. With more than 30 million albums sold over the decades, the band is now promoting their new record Condition Human, with two local AZ bands, Sectas and Tricus, as opening support”

“Pretty new to area. Know 24Thorns. Looking at post for s show. There you were. There was your new video. Most music vids don't do much for me. Yours showed up and knocked me down. The integration of story and character with the music and musicians is among the best I've ever seen and heard. The video told your story visually , even if there was no soundtrack. The acting was dead on, not just posturing. All beautifully edited. I actually felt emotion. Sometimes elements all come together. Kudos , hats off and two snaps and a thumb's up. Sign me , impressed and Less Jaded”

— Arlene Vale Crowley, Facebook quote

— Lauren Wise, Phoenix New Times

“The highlight of the show was putting our 12 year old student on stage where she rocked a song with the band Tricus, which is my band.”

— Kathleen Costanza, Music Inc

“Out of Tolleson, Arizona, rock band Tricus next stormed the stage-just after premiering their deliciously dark video HHH. The video is the tawdry tale of the devious and diabolical Dr. Henry Howard Holmes convincingly played by Scott Smith”

— Kiki Plesha, ION INDIE MAGAZINE
