Tour Band Elementary Recruitment Concerts 2019

WHO? Select sixth, seventh, and eighth grade band students. WHAT? Performing for all PreK-5 students at Hayes and Monroe Elementary Schools. WHEN? The performances are on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 (Hayes) and Thursday, April 25, 2019 (Monroe). Students need to arrive at Smart at 7:30am to pack up, transport to the school, and set up there; the performances begin at around 8:30am. WHERE? On the first day, we will meet at Smart Intermediate School and bus over to Hayes Elementary School at 622 S. Concord Street, Davenport, IA. On the second day, we will meet at Smart Intermediate School and walk over to Monroe Elementary School at 1926 W. 4th Street, Davenport, IA. Equipment Students need to have their instrument, music, and all other equipment necessary for the performance. Concert Dress Students should wear any Smart colors (black and gold) with blue jeans for the performance. They can wear something else underneath or bring a change of clothes to school to change into for after the performance, if they’d like. Students may miss a minimal amount of class for this event. We will finish and return to Smart around 9:00-9:15 both days, so students may miss a small amount of homeroom and/or first period. Questions?
