Lima explained, “We had a very short time to execute the project. In the Maracana Soccer Stadium there are soccer games every week. The concert could not interrupt the soccer competition dates. We had to prepare the stadium, structure and lighting just in time for the concert. The pressure was as big as the concert, because this concert was going to be broadcast live with no editing, so there was no space for flaws or mistakes.” He continues, “Using wysiwyg R23 Perform, we designed the stage and worked on the lighting scenes prior the execution. The concert was filled of marked and cued lighting positions, and it all had to be perfectly measured and positioned. The singer actually arrived on the stage driving a 1960s car! Using wysiwyg to preview the lights was a huge help. wysiwyg was the key to get the job done properly and in time. All we had to do in the venue was to fine tune the lighting scenes.” Leaving the show, one fan was heard saying, “It was incredible to see Roberto Carlos in the same stadium I once watched Pelé. The whole show was incredible and alive. Such a special night.”
