Ne w Be ginnings - Ag ain! New Beginnings Again! It’s that time of year once again – new clothes, new school supplies, new teachers, new experiences...new new, new! I like new, don’t you? The beginning of a new school year is almost like the beginning of a new calendar year. It is full of wonderful opportunities and exciting new challenges! And just like school, our church and youth ministry is full of newness this time of year! Just a couple of weeks ago we welcomed our new 6th grade students into our ministry. It is great to have them with us, and I hope that all of you (our older students) will take the time to get to know them, show them the ropes, and begin building personal relationships with them. After all, you were there once! Not only do we have new students, but we have newness in our ministry as well. Mark Taylor is no longer an intern, but a full time staff person working in youth ministry and church media. Our new website is up and running, and it is the hub of information for all things youth! Check it out at www.fccedmond.org/students.

Here you can read an online version of “The Flow,” see what is coming up, check out pictures and videos from events, and register/pay online for events! Please make it a habit to check in weekly so you can stay in touch with YOUR ministry! Finally, we know how extremely busy you are. And not only you, but your parents as well! There are so many things competing for our time, including church. And, since we want all of you involved, we have decided to take a small step back with the number of youth activities provided each month. Rather than trying to fill our schedules with even more stuff, we are going to concentrate on only 2 activities (besides Sunday school and Wednesday nights) per month. We feel this will allow us to put all of our energy into those events, and will allow you more of an opportunity to be involved in the midst of an already busy schedule. Mark and I are looking forward to another great year! Hope you summer was great and we can’t wait to see you!

~ Greg Bunton, Associate Minister of Student Ministries
