THE FIRE OF HIS LOVE Basking In the fire of His love It burns away the cares of this world. Cares that would keep my Spirit down, Weighted like a ship’s anchor unable to rise above. O my L-rd, my soul cries out, My eyes lift to the heavens seeking You. Surely I am Thine, O L-rd let Thy ear incline Unto the cries of this child, a daughter of the Divine! Burn it away L-rd remove this dross, Refine this soul that it be not lost. Heal me L-rd, forgive my sin Victory is Thine, O victory rise from within! Come to me L-rd in the here and now, Burn away the worry that frowns my wearied brow. Remove all that clings and weighs me down, Come to me L-rd, come to me now. Remove all not of thee with the fire of Your Love, Descend upon me L-rd with Thy Spirit like a dove.
