The Eiffel tower was built in 1889 for the universal Exposition celebrating the centenary of the French revolution

Construction : 1887 - 1889 (2 years, 2 months and 5 days). It only took five months to build the foundations and twenty-one to finish assembling the metal pieces of the Tower.
