Battle of Hastings- Harold Dead, William the Conquer to be king? England Savagely Defeated By Normandy Army Inside story William the conquer kills Harold people after the battle of Hastings took place. William wants to make sure that no people in Hastings are against him. His statement that if anyone was against him the same would happen to them that happened to the rest.

Yesterday Harold Godwinson died in a massive battle of Hastings. Harold had just had a battle with the king of Norway, Harald Hardraada, The battle took place at Stamford Bridge and Harald Hardraada failed to impact on the British army. He then received a message saying that William ii is coming from the south of England so Harold and his men marched down to Hastings and he stood at the top of a hill and his men attacked them and were destroying William army until William retreated and Harold’s army came down the hill.

He then had a 50/50 chance of winning because they were on the same level (above sea level). Then one of Williams’s archers shot Harold in the eye with and then Harold’s soldiers retreated.
