Instructor Biographies Renee Brice Renee Brice is the owner and director of Bluegrass Dance Center. She brings to Richmond over 20 years of teaching experience in ballet, tap, jazz, and ballroom and latin dancing. What began as a career path of performance dance, quickly changed course when Renee found Ballroom dance. As a former ballroom dancing competitor Renee has traveled the nation to train, perform, and compete at hundred’s of professional events. Renee is certified with the D.V.I.D.A Organization for ballroom dancing and is also one of the few individuals throughout the U.S.A. that is qualified to provide professional ballroom dance teacher instruction under the D.V.I.D.A program. She also holds certification with the I.S.T.D. Organization for International Standard Dancing, and is a member of the National Dance Council of America. As an American Rhythm competitor Renee and her partner went undefeated for the 24 competitions they attended leading up to their U.S. National Professional Rising Star Rhythm Championship in the year 2000. Many of her former youth ballroom students have gone on to become dance professionals themselves. She enjoys teaching children of all ages, and especially likes to teach students without any prior dance training. Renee’s dedication to creating quality dance experiences for children and adults of all ages motivated her to open Bluegrass Dance Center in July of 2006. Last year she and the entire Bluegrass Dance Center team attended the Dance Life Teacher Conference in Boston. A week filled with dance training, teaching tips, and ways to improve the business were part of the exciting week. Renee’s non-stop efforts to continued education for the Bluegrass Dance Center office team, and any instructor that teaches at Bluegrass Dance Center is a top priority for her. “Only with well-trained professionalism may we continue to provide our best, we’re motivated to keep learning and growing!”
