TAKE HOME APPLICATION TEST Objetivos: 1. Ser capaz de diseñar un plan de clases para una sesión de 90 minutos, aplicando el conocimiento y las competencias requeridas para la situación planteada. 2. Ser capaz de elaborar material de aprendizaje novedoso y funcional, seleccionando lo más apropiado para cada etapa de la clase. 3. Ser capaz de crear instrumentos de evaluación formativa, acumulativa y /o sólo sumativa, adecuados a cada etapa de la sesión de clase. Evaluación: Sumativa. Tiempo: Dos semanas. Entrega 01 de diciembre El plan de clase debe incluir lo siguiente: Objetivos específicos Material a usar Contenidos Organización, presentación y aplicación de los materiales  Actividades de aprendizaje  Modalidad de trabajo de los alumnos  Actividades de evaluación    

Nota: Los alumnos presentan este trabajo en un informe escrito individual que incluya todos los aspectos señalados en la información adjunta. El alumno que obtenga nota inferior a la nota cuatro, deberá rehacer su trabajo en un plazo de tres días hábiles, y volverlo a presentar. Este trabajo equivale al 40% de su nota final.

Consider the following elements of a syllabus, and create a lesson plan for a 90 minute session class. 1. General Analysis: The class will be given to students in a government-subsidized elementary school, located in a suburban area of Valparaiso. School’s total population is 1,000 students, grades 1st to 8th. The school counts with a well-organized team of three English teachers, audio-visual resources, and a good pool of materials for these English teachers to use in class. Students have had L2 instruction since 5th grade and classes are conducted for the most part in English. 2. Approach The approach favored by the teacher in this case is Community Language Learning (holistic, topic-based, emphasis on oral language, learner-centered.) 3. Objectives: Good command of grammatical/structural words, vocabulary work, developing reading comprehension and oral fluency. 4. Topic: Family daily activities 5. Organization of Content: Background knowledge: • • • •

Students know simple present tense of regular verbs and a few of irregular verbs ( to be, to do, to go, to make) Use of personal pronouns. Basic articles. Regular vocabulary of about 100 words.
