John We reviewed our reports from 1993 thru march 2003 and identified 95 recommendations to FAA and TSA on aviation security. We did audit the some areas more than once over the period, but while we made similar recommendations, we rarely repeated the same recommendation. Of the 95, 11 have been closed as done or QBE. Of the 84, we had promises by FAA or TSA to implement 53 of the recommendations with 31 where TSA owes the OIG a response on the 2003 reports or FAA had not provided a satisfactory response on a report issued in 1999.
