EDUC 902 Advanced Statistics Applied in Education Course Description This course on advanced statistics focuses on analyzing multivariate data for applications-oriented doctoral students in Education. The topics covered in the course include descriptive statistics, t-test, analysis of variance, correlation, chi-square, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression analysis. The level of analysis for the statistical results is integrated with theories in the social sciences. Course Objectives 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.

Execute statistical analyses using Excel and SPSS Software Run specific test statistics that are appropriate to a specific set of data in accordance with theory Interpret results of test statistics appropriately Use statistical concepts in reference to research findings Gather data and employ statistical analysis Write a concise report for the data analyzed
