A resident is any person who lives within the City Limits of Duluth. This is not to be confused with school attendance. City and School District boundaries are not the same. Even though your mailing address is Duluth, this does not necessarily mean you are a City resident. Most programs/classes have different fees for residents and non-residents. Non-residents must pay an additional surcharge established by the Park and Recreation Board (More than half of the participants in many of our programs live outside the City of Duluth and the cost of supplying these programs comes exclusively from City taxpayers; fairness requires that non-City residents share the burden of expense). The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Agency reserves the right to remove anyone falsifying information from our programs. Please call our office at 770-814-6981 if you have any questions regarding residency.

Bollywood is a phrase coined by joining two words: ‘Bombay’ (India’s film capital) and ‘Hollywood’. The dancing and the music of these are an exotic blend of India’s rich colorful mÇlange of classical and folk dances fused with hip hop, jazz, Latino and belly dancing. Ranging from simple to advanced, students can perform these moves in their own individual style; have loads of fun exploring contemporary Indian dance, and get fit along the way! The dancing, is suitable for both genders and all ages, & performed as a solo, duet or group can also be a good supplement to your social dancing skills. There are opportunities to participate in local concerts and special events. The class is taught by Priya Chellani, Indigo Fusion, tutor/performer for two decades internationally, in Bombay (India), Dubai and New Zealand.
