Stage 1-before independence • The spanish had power over the criollos. Blacks, indigenous people and mestizos.
Stage 2 - planning • Hidalgo had planned to fight the spanish people.
Stage 3 - Grito de dolores • Hidalgo led the fight against the spanish but in 1811 he was captured & killed.
Stage 4 - Mexican Independence • The Mexicans kicked out the Spanish and where one of the first places to free slaves.
