Standard Hole Notes in Pro/E A How-to on creating standard hole notes using your company's standards. - When we apply a standard ISO hole feature to any part, it gives us system defined notes attached to that hole (Fig-2). (As per below)
- And suppose your company drawing standard is,
- In such a case how do you modify the custom defined hole notes to meet your company standard?

During Standard ISO Hole feature creation, click on "Properties", there are several parameters that will highlight with their values. (Fig-3) - Note these parameters and their values as per your requirements. Like,
CSINK_ANGLE 90 CSINK_DIAMETER 21.00 THREAD_DIAMETER 20.00 THREAD_DEPTH 20.00 & etc. - Now to change the custom defined hole note, select that note and "right click" "Properties". (Fig-4)
- Notes window will appear and parameters are adjusted for the existing note.
- Those parameters are as per below, &METRIC_SIZE &THREAD_SERIES -&THREAD_CLASS &STD_HOLE_TYPE &VAR_THREAD &THREAD_DEPTH &NUMBER_SIZE DRILL ( &DIAMETER ) &VAR_DEPTH &DRILL_DEPTH ( &PATTERN_NO ) HOLE - Now as per your company standard, list the parameters from the "Properties" window (Fig-6) and type in this Notes – Properties window (Fig-5), as shown below, &PATTERN_NO &METRIC_SIZE &VAR_THREAD &THREAD_DEPTH ÿ&NUMBER_SIZE &VAR_DEPTH &DRILL_DEPTH &CSINK_ANGLE, ÿ&CSINK_DIAMETER
- Click on OK (Fig-7)[pic10] and you will get updated note as per your company standard. (Fig-8)
