Stillman “Spike” Goodman 1934-2009 Devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend passed away peacefully Sunday November 8, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix. Born October 23, 1934 at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, Illinois to parents Clifford and Astrid Goodman, Mr. Goodman attended Wabash College and served his country proudly and faithfully as an Army Intelligence Russian Language interpreter before he graduated from Western Michigan University. He enjoyed an extensive sales and marketing career as a manager and executive in the packaging industry and was an avid golfer and a passionately committed patriarch who believed in and defended the integrity of core and family values. Mr. Goodman is survived by his wife Nancy; children Donald (Susanne), Laura, Paul, James (Heidi) and Stephen; sister Janelle (Dan Lee) of Utah, brother Mark (Ann) and sister Melva of Michigan; grandsons Shawn and Edward Maciulski, Julian Melanson, Alexander and Jack Goodman. He was predeceased by his parents and one son, Edward. A Memorial Service will be held at Messinger Pinnacle Peak Mortuary on Friday November 13, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Viewings will be on Thursday November 12, 2009 at 7:00 PM and prior to the Friday service from 10:00 – 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to The First Tee Foundation.
