SpiceJet < Royal Airways, a reincarnation of ModiLuft. SpiceJet entered with Rs. 99 for the first 99 days for 9,000 seats. Followed by a Rs. 999 promotional scheme on select routes. On July 15, 2008 Billionaire Wilbur Ross invested $80 million. Spicejet names their aircraft after Spices.
