Andes Spanish School offers a new way of complete immersion in the Spanish language to students from all over the world. If you are looking for a school with new methods, great activities and special attention from teachers, then you have found it. At Los Andes we combine traditional teaching methods with an excellent personal attention to provide a new and highly effective way of learning language. Our team of teachers has been carefully selected for their academic qualifications, personality and experience. The School is located in the city of Cusco, less than twenty minutes walking from the main square. Cusco is filled with both cultural and academic offers, attracting a significant number of international students who wish to learn the Spanish language in Peru. For how long should you study?

Beginner A1 (3 weeks aprox): Develop ability and confidence in basic Spanish communication in familiar environments and interaction with native speakers in Hispanic countries

Beginner A2 (3 weeks aprox): Develop the ability to maintain a simple conversation in familiar environments and daily situations, expressing ideas in the present, past and future tenses.

Intermediate B1 (5 weeks aprox): Develop the communicative ability and linguistic competency to engage in conversations about familiar topics.

Intermediate B2 (6 weeks aprox): Gain the necessary linguistic and cultural skills to communicate effortlessly with native speakers and effectively structure an oral or written discussion.

Advanced C1 (6 weeks aprox): Use the Spanish language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes

Advanced C2 (7 weeks aprox ): Express oneself effectively and correctly, at a level close to that of a native speaker. Be able to differentiate finer shades of meaning.

Accommodation Family Stay

.This type of accommodation makes a most valid contribution to learning both the Spanish language and culture, with special regard for customs, traditions and family celebrations. The host family may be a family with parents and children or a single parent who loves students’ company. You can have a room with breakfast, meal and dinner. Your family will take your food preferences into account, but remember you’ll eat local foods. You will be given your own keys, and will be able to receive phone calls at the family home.

Extracurricular activities: museum visits, galleries, organization of special excursion on weekends, dance classes, Peruvian cooking classes, sports, movies, etc. 4. Videos and documentaries in Spanish. 5. Spanish certificate 6. Information and travel services for Machu Picchu Perú and South America (assistance in reservations, confirmations and others). 7. Help in finding accommodation with hotels, hostels, and families. 8. Coffee, bottled water and natural tea are always available.

Note: To enter to the different museums and galleries the student it will have their tourist ticket.

Volunteering

Would you like to do a volunteer job?

Los Andes Spanish School offers exceptional opportunities to study Spanish in an immersion setting and volunteer in a variety of interesting places that will enhance both your language skills and your resume. The school has contacts with many organizations who are always in need of an extra hand. There are various ongoing projects which one can work on. We, however, also help participants choose both the field and location of their volunteer placement. Possible fields of interest include social and cultural assistance in orphanages, hospitals, clinics, convalescent homes, kindergartens,etc. The program is open to any applicant who sincerely wants to share his/her experience and skills and who meet the listed requirements. New graduates, professionals, craftsmen, retirees, students...all are welcome to apply.
