Troubleshooting Product Issues Lab 1 Run the Lab Shared Tech Lab 1 In the Lab Executables folder you will find a program called Shared Tech Lab 1. Double click the file to run the program. After running this executable, you will get LU1814 live update error. Trainer note: This executable will release the IP Address and will get a live update error LU1814.

Steps to resolve this issue

Click Start ->Run->Type “ipconfig /renew”

Lab 2 Run the Lab Shared Tech Lab 2 In the Lab Executables folder you will find a program called Shared Tech Lab 2. Doubleclick the file to run the program. This will disable the feature Norton Protection Center. Trainer note:

Steps to resolve this issue

1. Enable the service “Norton Protection Center Service” and restart the computer.

Lab 3 Run the Lab Shared Tech Lab 3 In the Lab Executables folder you will see a file named Shared Tech Lab 3. Doubleclick the file to run the program and this will give you LU1803 error. Trainer note:

Steps to Resolve this issue 1. Click on Start 2. Select Run 3. Type in regsvr32 “C:\Program Files\Symantec\Liveupdate\LUCOMSERVERPS_2_7.DLL” 4. Click OK 5. Restart the computer and run live update again.

Lab 4 Run the Lab Shared Tech Lab 4 In the Lab Executables folder you will see a file named Shared Tech Lab 4. Doubleclick the file to run the program and this will give you LU1848 error.
