DISCUSSION The Bridge Set is a valuable resource to the region. Due to its monetary value and the potential financial impact that it could impose upon the region, the Bridge Set requires proper administration due to the sizable asset that it is. ADMINISTRATION Two bodies shall govern the administration of the Bridge Set. The normal day-to-day administration of the Bridge Set shall be the responsibility of the Bridge Set Committee. However, due to the fact that the Bridge Set is a monetary asset owned by the region and may require funding by the region, the Captains Board will approve all financial decisions regarding the Bridge Set. BRIDGE SET COMMITTEE The Bridge Set Committee shall be composed of three individuals. Regional Coordinator Since the Regional Coordinator is ultimately responsible to STARFLEET for the financial aspects of the region, the Regional Coordinator shall be one of the members of the Bridge Set Committee. Regional RDC Officer As the Officer in charge of the regional RDC program, the RDC Officer will also serve as a member of the Bridge Set Committee. He or she will be the individual responsible to the committee for all technical aspects of the bridge set. Bridge Set Custodian The Bridge Set Custodian is the final member of the Bridge Set Committee. He or she will be the individual responsible for the safety and storage of the Bridge Set. The Bridge Set Custodian will be nominated by the Regional Coordinator, and approved by the Captains Board. BRIDGE SET CARE, UPKEEP AND MODIFICATION Care for the Bridge Set is the responsibility of the Bridge Set Committee. The Bridge Set Committee will periodically inspect the Bridge Set and report on its health to the Captains Board, on a periodic basis, not to exceed one year. As a result of these inspections, the Bridge Set Committee will also make recommendations to the Captains Board on any required upkeep items, in particular, the items necessary and their approximate cost. Any member of the region may propose modification to the Bridge Set. The recommendations are made to the Bridge Set Committee. If the modification bears merit, as determined by the Bridge Set Committee, the Regional RDC Officer and the respective department that encompasses the change to ensure consistency with existing Star Trek and STARFLEET norms then review the modification. Once the proposed modification is prepared, it and the expected cost of the modification is then presented for approval to the Captains Board.

BRIDGE SET USE As a regional asset, the Bridge Set is available for use by the members of the region. Any request for use of the Bridge Set is presented to the Bridge Set Committee. As the body responsible for the care and upkeep of the Bridge Set, all decisions regarding requested use of the Bridge Set by the Bridge Set Committee are final. Each request for use of the Bridge Set shall be weighed against any potential wear and tear on the Bridge Set, safety of the Set during transport, and the qualifications of the individuals that will set-up, operate and break down, the Set as well. Therefore, any request for the Bridge Set's use, shall as a minimum, delineate the contingencies for the following items: • Responsibility for transport to and from the event. • Responsibility for erection and breakdown of the Bridge Set. • Responsibility for security of the Set during normal and off hours. Also, any financial requirements involving the movement of the Bridge Set will be the obligation of the individuals or chapter requesting its use. In the event, that the Bridge Set will be used for a regional function, any financial obligations shall be approved by the Captains Board.
