DEVELOPING A HEART FOR MISSIONS Matthew 9:35-38 • Jesus was a man focused on His purpose. • He knew why He came and what He was to accomplished. • As Christians, we have been called to follow Christ. • This means we are to live a focused life because an unfocused life is a wasted life. • When a Christian or a church fail to evangelize, it fails to fulfill the purpose of his existence.

VISION: Our Outward Response COMPASSION: Our Inward Response ACTION: Our Upward Response “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. (v38)” Everything starts with PRAYER. As we begin praying, passion begin to stir up within our hearts. We should respond by being available in whatever way God wants to use us. In Luke 10:3 after saying the same phrase to His disciples, He said to them, “Go, I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.” Indeed the mission field is great, but we have a great God. We just need to ask ourselves, “How will be involved?”
