El gasto de vapor de cada uno de estos equipos fue en estricto orden: 3000 lb, 3000 lb, 1200 lb, 4800 lb, 600 lb, 600 lb, y 600 lb. Determine la potencia del caldero y su consumo diario de petróleo (en GPH) si opera a 90 psi y consume 12 galones para el arranque (1 hora) y después 5 GPH.

Solución: Carga (lb/h) = 1.2 (Cx-Cy) X1(Evap 1) = 1.2 (3000lb/6h) = 600 lb/h X2(Evap 2) = 1.2 (3000lb/6h) = 600 lb/h X3(Cocinador) = 1.2 (1200lb/2h) = 720 lb/h X4(Exhauster) = 1.2 (4800lb/3h) = 1920 lb/h X5(Marmita 1) = 1.2 (600lb/2h) = 360 lb/h X6(Marmita 2) = 1.2 (600lb/2h) = 360 lb/h X7(Marmita 3) = 1.2 (600lb/2h) = 360lb/h



Potencia del Caldero

XT = X1+X2+X3+X4+X6 (Hora de mayor consumo 10:00am) XT = (600+600+720+1920+360) lb/h XT = 4200 lb/h (1BHP/ (34.5 lb/h)) XT = 121.7 BHP



Consumo Diario de petróleo

Consumo = 12 galones (arranque) + 5GPH (7 horas) Consumo = 12 + 35 Consumo = 47 Galones
