Human Excellence Through Self Realisation

2

The great Human Truth, is that “we are all one”, The great Human Tragedy, is that “we do not know this”,

3

They serve the best who serve silently like the Sun, the Moon, Air, and the Water.

4

What is Human Excellence ? Have you heard about … Who invented TV ? Who was the best doctor – 20 years back? so on ,so forth…..

Have you heard about … Saint Kabir, Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Lord Jesus, Guru Nanak, Hazrat Mohammad

5

Defining – Success in Life [Materialistic Success]

Materialistic success is welcome; it need not be undermined. But what about Spiritual Success? 6

Two educations….. There are obviously two educations…… One should teach us ‘how to make a living’ And The other, ‘how to live’. 7

Two educations….. Our whole education system is focusing on ‘how to make a living’ But we worship those who focused on The other, ‘how to live’ part Like Saint Kabir, Guru Nanak, Prophet Mohammad, Lord Jesus etc

8

For living…& for…

Living

We are eating We are sleeping We are earning

for Living, for Living, for Living,

We are Living

for ???

Definitely not for the sake of it ??? 9

10

The objective is …. Self Realisation Through God Realisation OR

Salvation Adi Granth. p-13

11

What is Salvation… ? Part and the Whole

Like a glass of water is a part of sea, but not yet sea. It can become sea if it falls into the sea. Likewise , the soul is a part of Brahm, and can also become Brahm, once it merges with it. 12

What is Salvation… ? Merger is salvation. Merger of soul with the ‘supersoul’ or Brahm is known as Salvation.

13

Srimad Bhagwad Gita Lord Krishna says: ‘who knows me by ‘tatva’ doesn’t fall into cycle of rebirth, but merges into me’ Chap 4.9

14

What is Self Realization ? Concept of Mirror

Like, we can not see our own face without a mirror, Same way, we can not see our own Self without God Realization, [ Aham-brahm-asmi, Tatva-masi] 15

The context…… Ritual s Mytholog y

‘Gods are not many;

Names of God are many;

21

God Exists……… One God, Many Names 2. Like water is one, and it has many names like Water, Pani, Jal, Neer, Aab etc. so is God. 3. Why don’t we ever hear that I drink water, I am better than those who drink Jal. ??? Because we KNOW water. 22

One God…, Know God… 3. But we do hear that I believe in Ram, He believes in Allah. And they believe in Akal Purkh, ???

Because We DO NOT KNOW God as such.

23

Holy Bible

Content and the Container

40

Can you appreciate?

‘There is no god except Allah; Muhammad is the Prophet’ ‘A writing’

41

True Master and the body …? The Master cannot be without body. Still, He is not the body. Though , He is in the body. 42

True Master and the body …? The Master is only one; and that is the Formless Creator; Only bodies change,

43

True Master and the body …? There has not been many Masters; there has been only One Master in many bodies. 44

Why Realization..??? A

slight Diversion…..

 Two

questions are pending: How to realise ?? How to recognize the True Master ??

45

The Problem…..today     

God pluralism Master differentiation Religious pluralism Division of mankind Result ::: Hatred Violence Intolerance 46

The Solution…..     

ONE God…. Oneness of Masters Spiritual oneness Universal Brotherhood Result :::: Love Compassion Humility Harmony 47

Holy Quran “ Have faith in Khuda, his all messengers, and all scriptures” 4 / 136

48

Holy Quran Those who differentiate between khuda and His messengers; and those who say that they believe in this, and they don’t believe in that, are pucca Kafirs. 4/ 150-152

49

Brotherhood of Man Through Fatherhood of God… No Caste, Colour & Creed No Regional Differences No Religious Differences 50

Benefits of Realisation For the world or mankind Universal brotherhood, No hatred, No regionalism, No caste differences, No religious Pluralism. 51

Fifth Postulate

Whether God can be known or realized ??

52

Whether God can be known ?

An Emphatic ‘YES’ Gita 4-34, Bible, A.G. 53

Then, How to Realise ??

54

Srimad Bhagwad Gita Lord Krishna says: ‘In this Form, I can not be seen through vedas, charity, sacrifices austere penances and ritualistic practices’ Chap 11.48-52 55

Adi Granth True Master says: “No one can know…. through, recitation, penances, bookish knowledge, Meditations & concentrations, study of vedas, yogic practices, religious acts and rituals, wandering in forests, and charity ……” says Nanak. Page – 265. (Jap, tap, gyan sab dhyan, khat shaster simriti bakhian….)

56

Some Common Activities : The Real Meaning Nothing to do with Brahmgyan. Yogasan, Vrata, ishnan [ physical benefits ] Daan, Punya [ Social benefits, like schools, Hospitals, colleges etc. ] 57

Some Common Activities : The Real Meaning Havan, and Yagya : [environmental benefits] Jap, Sandhya, Dhyan: [cannot be performed without knowing God.] A.G. 58

One Common Method:

recommended by all scriptures Living True Master OR Satguru is the Way. Gita 4-34 Bible -St John 14.6 Quran

59

Adi Granth True Master says: “The Formless creator is everywhere, surrounding everyone, but He can not be realised without the blessings of a True Master” says Nanak. Page – 924. (kaho nanak gur bin nahin sujhe, hari sajan sabke nikat khara) 60

Fifth postulate God can only be realised with the blessings of a LIVING TRUE MASTER.

61

Sixth Postulate TRUE MASTER. is always there. [Naam rahio, sadhu rahio, rahio guru gobind…] Adi Granth. P-1429

62

Seventh Postulate

Who is a True Master ? or How to recognize a True Master?

63

Who is a True Master ??? He is above Caste, Creed and Colour,  Dress and diet,  Region and country  Any language 

64

Who is a True Master ???

The only recognition of a True Master is

“Who knows God, and blesses with God Knowledge in no time, to anyone, Who submits to him”. And never Pushes you in search of it. ( Ashtavakara, Vashishtha, Krishna etc) Adi granth 65

Adi Granth True Master says: ‘He, who has known the True Lord, is called the Satguru (True Master)’ Page – 286. (satpurkh ji janya, satguru its ka nau…)

66

Srimad Bhagwad Gita Lord Krishna says: ‘Approach the Knower of Truth; surrender, serve and politely ask; the knower will reveal The Knowledge to you’ Chap 4. 34

67

Spiritual Journey Spiritual chronological order

 Know One  Believe in One  Be One Back 68

So, What to do ??? We have to search the True Master not God. “Search the knower, NOT Knowledge”. 69

The Baton Further…….. Thank you very much And wishing you all God Realization.

Spiritual Paradoxes  Spiritual

Vs Religious  Spiritual Experiences  Spiritual Journey  Spirituality Vs Science  Creation Vs Creator  Swaroop vs tatva  Reprensentation Vs Actual 71

Spiritual Paradoxes contd.. Unity Vs Uniformity Why realisation so difficult Meditation Vs Concentration Vs imagination Politics in religion… Meaning and the Essence Laws of God Vs Laws of Society Why are we punished when He is the doer of 72

Scriptural References

 Holy

Bible  Holy Quran  Srimad Bhagwat Gita  Guru Granth Sahib  Ramacharita Manas 73

Spiritual Vs Religious

74

Spiritual Vs Religious Being religious means involvement in social activities like donating for temples, schools, hospitals etc. Being spiritual means in search of the Absolute Truth. 75

What is Absolute Truth ? It has got nothing to do with speaking truth or lie. Truth means Always true that means which is not subject to change, which is Avinashi, Sanatan

76

Spiritual Vs Religious A spiritually enlightened person ALSO becomes religious in due course BUT A purely religious person can never upgrade to spiritual enlightenment. 77

Spiritual Vs Religious These are two related but different lines. LIKE A doctor can also play Tennis, But by merely playing Tennis, you can’t become a doctor. i.e. vice versa is not true 78

Religious Pluralism & Spiritual Oneness Religious Pluralism is because of Rituals and Mythology And Spiritual oneness is because of One God. 79

Religious Pluralism & Spiritual Oneness At the core, There are NOT many religions as we say. There is only one religion And that is HUMANITY 80

Spiritual movement Vs Religion During the Era of Living True Master, it is called Spiritual Movement. And After that what remains is the Religion, which primarily contains Proceduralism or Rituals. Back 81

Spiritual Journey

82

The road less traveled :::::: TH E RO UND ABO UTS No. 2 83

Spiritual Journey Spiritual chronological order

 Know One  Believe in One  Be One

84

Journey Divine… “Just as rivers are continuously flowing towards the mighty Ocean, our life is but a pilgrimage towards the Nirankar, the Formless Ocean.” 85

Spiritual Experiences We are Human Beings and getting Spiritual Experiences,

NO, In fact, we are Spiritual Beings and getting Human Experiences. Back 86

Spirituality Vs Science

87

Spirituality Vs science Science is the study of Creation, And

Spirituality is the study of Creator. 88

Creation Vs Creator The Sun, moon, stars, Earth, air, water , ether, etc are all a part of creation as they all are subject to change. Who is the creator then: The million dollar question?

89

Creation Vs Creator Creation is subject to change And the creator is not. - by definition. All scriptures Back 90

Brahmgyan, Tatva Gyan, Enlightenment, Realisation, or The Wisdom

91

Brahmgyan: the Wisdom Shabad

- Word, Name

Arth

- Meaning

Padarth

- Matter 92

Brahmgyan flavours : so called… Shastriya gyan [ bookish: the read one ] Shravan gyan [ Heard from others ] Tatva gyan [Direct perception or Realisation from the True Master] 93

Swaroop Vs Tatva Toys of Sugar Elephant of wood Glass of water Vs Sea Water Vs Ice berg Back 94

Realisation of God, why so difficult?

95

Representation Vs Actual Prateek

Vs

Pratyaksh

Globe Map

Vs Vs

Earth Haryana

96

Realisation : why so difficult? Because of focus on representation for a very long time. [ a grown up child clinging to her barbie] Cigarette smoking for 25 years. back 97

Meditation Vs Concentration Vs Imagination

98

Meditation Vs Concentration A concentration exercise is NOT meditation, Concentration is always ON something, it may be a candle, your own breath, or any other object. 99

Meditation Vs Concentration When that object is God, it is called Meditation. So without knowing God, No meditation is possible. Adi Granth 100

Target is all that matters….. Firing by a soldier is rewarded but by a gangster is punished. Hitting a hammer is important but where to hit is more important. Concentration is OK but what to concentrate on, is more important. 101

Meditation Vs imagination We imagine what we don’t know And We remember what we know.

Meditation is remembrance of what we know. Back 102

Realisation Vs Illusion Realisation comes after contemplation and it is permanent. ( From shravan to Manan to Dhyan ) Illusion is temporary and magic-like. back 103

Understanding the Scriptures :::::: Meaning and the Essence

104

Meaning and Essence ? Shabadarth (Meaning) ( Who knows the Language)

Essence (Bhavarth) ( Who knows the Subject) e.g. All Scriptures talk about Brahm. 105

Meaning and Essence ? A student of class IV can read higher mathematics, but can’t understand. Likewise we can read the scriptures, But can’t understand because we do not know the Brahma about which they are talking about. Back 106

Spiritual Vocabulary Karm – For gyan Bhakti – after gyan Satsang – Where is Truth Sumiran – Vs Recitation Depression ( for a Psychologist or whether Forecaster) 107

SPIRITUAL BLISS :::::: Body, Mind, and the Soul

108

Spiritual Bliss Body

- physical Comforts

Mind

- peace

Soul

- Bliss

- Science

- Concentration Or attention diversion - Brahmgyan 109

THE ROAD MAP Gyan ( knowing the Self through God realisation)

Guzran ( Living, earning, etc) 110

Container and the Content we are not a body, but we wear one. Only Actual realisation can shatter the myth.

111

Whether I broke a ‘Law of God’ or ‘Law of Society’

112

Law of God Vs Law of Society Law of Society ( Varies with Era, Country, and Time)

Marriage, Education, Eating habbits, Plus a lot many such things…. 113

Law of God Vs Law of Society Law of God (Universal - no change)

Living for…..?, Realisation of Tatva-gyan, Universal Brotherhood. Back 114

Sakaar and Nirakaar :::::: From Matter to the Essence

115

Sakaar and Nirakar Swaroop Vs Tatva Ice Water Sweets Milk Swaroop ( Shape & size ) carries Gunas. Nirakar is Nirgun 116

Which Nirakar ??? Wisdom Mind Air Soul Pain Love Ether etc. etc.….. 117

Moving : in what direction?

Direction is a lot more important than mere Move. 118

Spiritual paradox…..

119

Spiritual paradox….. If God is the doer of everything, then why we get the punishment for wrong doings ??? If God is super conscious, then why doesn’t He stop us from doing wrong acts ??? 120

Spiritual Paradox : Karta or Karan; Doer or cause Energy does nothing of its own, The instrument does everything. ( Like Electricity, fan , tube, heater )

121

Karta or Karan: Doer or cause Because of Language we can read, but language is not responsible for what we read, nor language provides any hindrance.

122

Karta or Karan: Doer or cause Like-wise, God, being a supreme energy is the reason for all action, But not the Doer. Gita. Back 123

Thoughtless or fully thoughtful??

124

What is an Eye without Vision? What is an Ear without Hearing [it is not doing its Job] The Job of mind is Sankalpa/ Vikalpa. What is Mind without thought ??? We donnt have to stop mind but we have direct it to Gyan. 125

Thoughtless or fully thoughtful?? We don’t have to stop mind but we have direct it to Gyan. Mind doesn’t have to be thoughtless, rather it has to be fully thoughtful about God remembrance. Gita 18-xx 126

God remembrance

God consciousness is God remembrance

127

God Realisation God knowledge (Brahmgyan) is the means And God realization is the End 128

Knowing about. .. vs Knowing… Knowing a lot about Shia-chen would be either read or heard information, Not the direct perception. Likewise, Knowing a lot about God is different from knowing God i.e. direct perception. 129

We remember those…….. People who forget their self are the folks we remember.

130

Word and the Image Rose, Water Sky, Air …. ( same Image… because we know) God - All different images When God is ONE, we agree, then why SO ???? Back 131

Good Citizen Vs The Realised One A realised person will also become a good citizen in due course of time, But, the reverse is not true.

132

Unity Vs Uniformity [ in a garden, variety leads to beauty]  There

is beauty in diversity, not in uniformity.  Unity in diversity is also possible.  But, uniformity is neither possible nor desirable.  We should strive for unity, not uniformity.  Back 133

The Divinity Within… Like, Wood is potentially FIRE. Same way,

Every Human Being is Potentially DIVINE. 134

Religion in Politics… Religion in Politics is a BOON. ( Lord Ram, Lord Krishna etc.)

Politics in Religion is a BANE.

135

Religion in Politics… It is a BOON if a Religious Leader takes up the reins of Politics. ( Lord Ram, Lord Krishna etc.)

It is a BANE if a Political Leader takes up the reins of Religion. 136

Religion in Politics… What is Ram-Rajya ? “ if Ram runs the Rajya”. Who is Ram ? “A spiritually enlightened person” OR “A truly religious person”
