Occupation/Major: ____________________________________ As we gather today, it really is an opportunity to celebrate as God's Family. We get to continue our tradition of bringing in our gift laden shoeboxes for our friends in Mexico and the Navajo reservation. It's always a great inspiration to see you bring the colorfully wrapped gifts and stack them on the platform. We also have opportunity to speak the gospel to parts of the world we will never visit by means of our annual Thanksgiving Offering for Others. Our goal is $77,000 this year and, with your help and mine, we're going to reach that goal. Yes, I know that the economy stinks, but that's what makes this offering especially sacrificial.

School: _____________________________________________ Tennyson Center Sunday, December 7th, meet here at DFC in the Breezeway at 2:30 pm. We will go to the Tennyson Center to bless the children living at the Center.

Helping Others

Got Christmas Gifts?

And then there's the email/letter about my health. Yes, I'm dealing with some stuff that has been building for several months but to my knowledge it's not life threatening stuff. I'm so grateful for the policy at DFC that allows employees to accrue time and allows me the privilege to take time to take care of myself. It is not something I am taking for granted. Jane and I desire to see if we can get the gauges refilled, but most of all we are eager to have some uninterrupted time to see the face of God and His direction for our future as well as that of DFC. We'll be around some during these days. We have a grandson in the Christmas program and we want to see that. We also want to be here for the Christmas Eve service, so hopefully we'll see you. Please remain faithful in attendance and giving. December is a very, very important month for us financially; each year it is pivotal to our ability to reach our budgetary goals. Your help will be so deeply appreciated.

With the current economic situation, many of our members are feeling the financial pressure. Would you consider adding $5-$10 to your tithe check through the end of the year? Just note what portion is to go to the Tending Committee in the memo portion of your check. Thank you!

And finally, we have the opportunity to hear the gospel shared by one of our six General Leaders, Dr. Jerry Porter. I know that you're going to enjoy his ability to share a world view with us and to challenge us with our part in being involved in the world community. We're honored to host him today.
