Vayechulu ha-shamayim ve-ha-aretz ve-chol tzeva'am, vayechal elohim ba-yom ha-sh'vi'i melachto asher asah, vayishbot bayom ha-sh'vi'i mi-kol melachto asher asah. Vayevarech elohim et yom hash'vi'i vayekadesh oto, ki vo shavat mikol melachto asher bara elohim la'asot. On all other nights we eat either sitting upright or reclining. Why, on this night, do we eat reclining?
