Configure & Print to the Photocopy Machine 1. Check to be sure you are connected to a Photocopy Machine in your building (ES Office, Hoffman, MHS Office or Guidance). Place a tech request to have the printer installed if you have not already done so. 2. Once installed, be sure you are printing to a “Locked Print” a. This is very important so that you do not interrupt your colleagues’ print jobs or someone who is at the machine running copies. 3. To set the printer to always print to a “Locked Print”, right click on the Photocopy Machine in the Printer’s Folder. (You can find printers in your Start Menu or in Control Panel)
4. Once on the Properties Page, click Printing Preferences.
5. Now choose the Job Type, Locked Print from the drop down menu.
6. After “Locked Print” is chosen, click on details. Enter your first initial and last name. This will label your jobs in the photocopy machine. You can use any 4digit password, but all usernames are set to 1234.
7. Click OK when finished with the Details and OK again in Printing Preferences. You have now set your “Locked Print”.
8. To retrieve your documents from the photocopy machine, press the Printer button on the photocopy screen.
9. This will pull up all the Locked Print jobs on the machine. Important: Jobs will stay in memory unless the photocopy machine is turned off. If the school looses power or the machine needs repair, your jobs will be lost. Otherwise jobs will stay in memory for as long as you keep them there. 10.Touch on your name in the list on the screen. If your name is not listed on the first page, try the second and so on. Many people use this machine so your
job might not show up on page 1.
11.You can also refresh the list by pressing Locked Print Job List on the screen.
12.After you have selected you name, Press Print on the right side.
13. It will now ask for your password. Use the number pad to enter your 4-digit code. Press OK.
14.It will then confirm the document you are printing and viola, you are done. 15.Be sure to press the Copy button when you are finished so others can use the machine.
