SAP MODULES OVERVIEW Many programme teams were organized along SAP modules lines, so that we have a FI\CO an MM, a HR team, for eg traning course were(therefor) often prepare and delivered along SAP modules lines too.The result of this was that solutions were frequently optimized along SAP modules lines, and less often well intergrated, and as for users, well they were pretty much trained up in a sap modules and left to get on with it post go-live.Fortonately those days are mostly passed, and more and more programmes(fordesign to build to traning) are being organized along process line such as order to cash(including parts of SD,FI-AR and probably TY as well purchase to pay(including MM-purchasing and FI-AP).Record to report(FI-GL etc) SAP now moving away from describing their system as a set of SAP modules, and now are using the term ‘solution’.Which is much better as follows: ➢ ➢ ➢ ➢ ➢ ➢

SAP FI MODULE: Where FI means financial according-essentially this SAP module delivers your regulatory ‘books of record’,including SAP FI –which stands for financial accounting is the SAP module where regulatory or statutory data is tracked and managed.The SAP FI modules has the capability of metting all the according and financial needs of an organization.It is with in this SAP FI module that financial managers as well the company in real time as compared to legacy system which after times

SAP PM MODULE: The SAP plant maintenance comprises of the following activities such as inspection, to measure and stablished the actual condition of a technical system, preventive maintenance to measure and maintain the ideal condition of a technical system, repair to measure and store the ideal condition of a technical system and other measure that need to be taken using the maintenance organization

SAP PM is closely integrated with other modules(for example, Material management, Production, Sales and distribution, Personnel management and Controlling) the data ia always kept current and processes that are necessary for plant maintenance and customer service and automatically triggered in other areas(for example- a purchase requistition for non-stock material in the materials management). Sap’s plant maintenance module(SAP-PM) is being used move and more by large organiz-recognised that implemmting SAP-PM is large and complex task.
